## Hidden costs and limits

- Copyright ownership varies by plan: Free and Standard plans mean AIVA owns the copyright. Only the Pro plan transfers copyright to you. This is the single most important pricing distinction.
- Standard plan monetization is limited to YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and Instagram only. If you want to use tracks in a podcast, commercial, film, or game, you need the Pro plan.
- Download limits are monthly caps, not rollover credits. Free gets 3/month, Standard gets 15/month, Pro gets 300/month. Unused downloads do not carry over.
- Audio format restrictions: Free and Standard plans only export MP3 and MIDI. High-quality WAV files require the Pro plan (€49/month or €33/month annual).
- Track length is capped: Free maxes out at 3 minutes, Standard at 5 minutes, Pro at 5 minutes 30 seconds. There is no way to generate longer compositions.
- Monthly pricing is significantly higher than annual: Standard is €15/month monthly vs €11/month annual (36% more). Pro is €49/month monthly vs €33/month annual (48% more).
- Student discounts (15% off) require verification and are only available via direct contact, not self-serve on the pricing page.
