## Hidden costs and limits

- Workers CPU that runs the query is billed on Workers pricing, on top of D1 rows (official FAQ).
- Dashboard and Wrangler queries count as billable reads/writes, including CREATE INDEX and INSERT of seed data.
- An index write counts as an extra row written. Empty databases still use about 12 KB.
- Free daily limits reset at 00:00 UTC. Exceed them and D1 returns errors until the next day or you upgrade.
- No egress charge. Read replicas do not add a replica fee; they still count rows read/written.
