## Hidden costs and limits

- Annual contracts are mandatory. There is no monthly billing option, so you are locked in for 12 months minimum even if the product does not fit your needs
- Module pricing is quote-only and varies by company size, industry, and negotiation skill, two companies of the same size can pay different rates
- Phone support is limited to accounts with 150+ employees. Smaller companies are restricted to chat and email support, which can be slow for urgent payroll issues
- Rippling bills for terminated employees through the end of their billing period. If someone leaves mid-month, you still pay for the full month on every module
- Third-party benefit broker fees are separate. Rippling facilitates benefits enrollment but does not replace your broker, expect $5-15/employee/month in additional broker fees
- Add-on modules (Recruiting ATS, Performance Management, Learning Management) are each separate line items with their own per-employee charges, none publicly disclosed
