Pros
- Switched over from running Stable Diffusion locally, mostly to stop babysitting a graphics card. It's browser-based, nothing to install, no GPU required, and the open-source models I already knew (SDXL, Flux, Qwen, Z-Image) sit right next to Mage's own. Closest thing I've found to ComfyUI without the setup.
- Unlimited generation changed how I work. Good value on the basic and pro plans. I stopped rationing attempts and doing credit math before every shot.
- The ability to build AI characters is why I stayed. You build a them once, reuse them across image, video, and voice, and identity drift mostly stops being a problem. Lot's of different models depending on what you're trying to do, be it stills, video, or motion control off a reference clip.
- Uncensored on most models, still takes a normal credit card, commercial license on every paid tier. That combination is genuinely hard to find.
Cons
Support is a Discord server and an email address. Also worth knowing: the externally hosted models keep their vendors' filters.
