Railway MCP

Railway is a deployment platform that runs apps, databases, and scheduled jobs straight from a Git repository or a container image. Its official MCP server puts that platform behind a Model Context Protocol interface, so an AI coding assistant can act on infrastructure directly instead of asking the developer to switch to a dashboard or a CLI. Through the server an agent can list the workspaces, projects, services, and environments an account has access to, then create a project, attach a service to a repository or image, and trigger a deployment. It can read and set environment variables per service and per environment, check deployment status, and pull build and runtime logs to diagnose a failure. Provisioned datastores and the connection variables they generate are visible the same way, which lets an agent wire an app to its database without a human copying credentials between browser tabs. It authenticates with a Railway account or team token, so every action stays inside the permissions of the token holder and shows up in the project activity trail. The audience is developers who already work inside an MCP client such as Claude Code, Cursor, or VS Code and want the deploy, inspect, fix loop to happen in the same conversation as the code changes.
