Figma MCP logo

Figma MCP

Figma's official MCP server, expose live design structure to AI for accurate code generation

4.6(2,863)
as of May 2026
Free Tier Available4.6/52,863 ratings · May 2026

Figma's MCP server closes the gap between a design file and the code that implements it. Instead of a developer reading measurements off a canvas and retyping them, an assistant connected to the server pulls the structure of a selected frame directly from Figma and generates markup and styles from it. Figma offers this both as a server that runs alongside the desktop app and as a remote endpoint, so it works whether the design is open locally or referenced by link. The most used capability returns a code representation of the selected node, including its layout, hierarchy, and applied styles. Alongside it, the server can return the design variables and styles a selection depends on, which is what allows generated code to reference the team's tokens for color, spacing, and typography rather than hard-coded values. It can supply an image of the selection so the assistant can check its output against the intended layout, and it can expose the mapping between Figma components and the components already implemented in a codebase, so an agent reuses an existing button instead of inventing a new one. It can also produce design system rules that constrain how generated code should be written. It is built for front-end developers and design engineers working from a design system, and its value depends on how the file is organized: named components, real variables, and auto layout produce far better output than a flat visual mock.
