Canva MCP

Canva is a browser based design tool used for presentations, social posts, documents, and video, with brand kits and reusable templates for teams. The Canva MCP server is the official connector Canva publishes for AI assistants, giving an agent authenticated access to a Canva account so designs can be found, created, filled, and exported from a conversation instead of the editor. The capability set follows Canva's connect APIs. An agent can search the designs, folders, and assets in a workspace, create a new design, autofill a brand template by mapping supplied text and images into its named fields, upload an asset for use inside a design, and export finished work to formats including images, PDF, presentation decks, and video. Autofill is the piece that changes workflows most, since it turns a template plus a row of data into finished collateral without a designer opening the file. That makes it useful for repetitive production work: generating a set of on brand social variants, refreshing a deck when the underlying numbers change, or producing per customer one pagers from a list. It does not replace design judgement, and layout decisions beyond what a template already defines still belong in the editor. The agent acts as the connected user, so it sees only the designs and brand assets that account can already reach.
