Best Accounting Software for Retail in 2026

TL;DR

Short answer: Lightspeed Retail Core is $149/mo when a specialty store needs landed cost and a sync to Xero or QuickBooks Online. Square Plus is $49 per location when one shop wants cost of goods on the register plan. Cin7 Standard is $349/mo when orders and stock should post into a ledger you already keep. Brightpearl is the quote for a retail accounting module with unlimited users. Odoo Standard lists $31.10 per user per month when the till and the books should share one fee.

A Z report prints the drawer. Buy the plan that posts landed cost, cost of goods, and that register day into a ledger.

275 Accounting tools tracked

A retail close fails when the till, the receipt, and the ledger disagree on what the stock cost. The right buy posts a register day, a landed cost, and the cost of goods. An invoice app that only mentions inventory leaves freight and duty outside the margin.

Toolradar data: this catalog holds 275 accounting tools, 27% of them still offer a free or freemium plan, and 192 (70%) are paid-only, as of September 2026.

A free invoicing plan from that set can send a receipt and still cannot value a shipment that arrived with freight and duty. This ranking is for a US store that sells from a counter, a stockroom, or both. Marketplace payouts are a different job, covered in the ecommerce accounting guide. The register hardware shortlist is the POS systems guide.

Lightspeed Core is the start when landed cost has to reach Xero or QuickBooks. Square Plus is the start when the shop is small and the meter is the location. The rest of the directory sits in the accounting catalog. How we ranked: these 10 are the store shortlist, checked against the 275 tools in that catalog, with vendor sites read on September 24, 2026,.

Lightspeed logo

Lightspeed

Top Pick

Specialty retailers that need landed cost in Xero or QuickBooks.

Lightspeed screenshot
  • Pro: Core and Plus calculate landed cost from supplier cost, shipping, and import duty, then use average cost for cost of goods sold, so container margin does not sit in a spreadsheet.
  • Pro: The Xero and QuickBooks Online integrations are on Core and Plus. Daily sales can post to Xero, while purchase orders go one delivery at a time, so receiving day still needs a person.
  • Pro: Plus is $289/mo and is the column with Insights, API access, custom user roles, and 24/7 phone support, the buy when more than the owner touches the books. Card-present Lightspeed Payments is listed at 1.5%.
  • Con: Basic leaves out landed cost and those accounting integrations, so a quote on the cheaper column keeps duty outside the books.
  • Con: A second location is a custom conversation. Stock counts do not post themselves to Xero, and each X-Series column includes one register with no printed price for the next.
Fair value

Lightspeed's pricing, ranging from $89/month for Basic to $289/month for Plus, appears expensive for a single register POS system, especially given that many core features are available across all tiers.

Watch out

Onboarding/professional services are options, not free

2
Square logo

Square

A single shop that wants cost of goods on a published location fee.

  • Pro: Plus and Premium add inventory, stock intake, vendors, purchase orders, and cost of goods reporting, the close a single shop can sign, and the free plan does not.
  • Pro: In-person cards are 2.6% + 15¢ on Free, 2.5% + 15¢ on Plus, and 2.4% + 15¢ on Premium, so the step-up also trims the card rate. Cash and check carry no processing fee. Plus and Premium include a 30-day trial.
  • Pro: Square's US app marketplace lists a QuickBooks Online connector that imports Square transactions, and sellers over $250,000 a year can ask about custom Square Pro rates.
  • Con: The Plus and Premium software fees apply to each location, so a three-shop chain pays more than the single-shop sticker.
  • Con: A purchase order allows at most 500 unique items and whole quantities only, which rules out a partial case. Premium adds cross-location returns, transfer orders, and 24/7 phone support.
Good value

Square's pricing is generally fair, especially for small businesses.

3
Cin7 logo

Cin7

Product retailers posting stock and orders into Xero or QuickBooks.

  • Pro: Standard includes 5 users, 2 ecommerce or app integrations, unlimited inventory locations, and 6,000 sale orders a year, in USD before tax, which fits a year that stays inside that order count.
  • Pro: Cin7 lists accounting integrations with Xero or QuickBooks Online, including accounts you already run, so the accountant keeps the file they close today.
  • Pro: Pro moves the cap to 10 users and 24,000 orders a year and adds material requirements planning. Advanced adds advanced warehouse management at 15 users and 120,000 orders, a warehouse rather than one stockroom.
  • Con: Point of sale and additional registers are separate charges, so the Standard sticker is not a till and a register is a second line on the quote.
  • Con: Omni, the custom fit for complex warehouses, has no public price. Extra users, integrations, and order volume are sold separately, so the next invoice waits on a quote.
Fair value

Cin7's pricing, starting at $349/month for the Standard plan, is on the higher end compared to many inventory management solutions, especially for smaller businesses.

Watch out

Potential overage fees for exceeding order limits.

4
Shopify POS logo

Shopify POS

Brands that sell online and need a permanent store on the same catalog.

Shopify POS screenshot
  • Pro: Every paid plan includes casual in-person selling, and the offer opens with 3 days free, then 3 months at $1/mo, a short trial of the register.
  • Pro: POS Pro adds unlimited staff logins, roles, rich customer profiles, inventory counts, purchase orders, and returns at any location, which a permanent store needs once more than one person runs the counter.
  • Pro: In-person card rates start at 2.6% + 10¢ on Basic, 2.5% + 10¢ on Grow, and 2.4% + 10¢ on Advanced, so the commerce plan also sets the card cost at the counter.
  • Con: A permanent store adds POS Pro at $89/mo per location, billed yearly, on top of Basic at $39/mo or Grow at $105/mo. The included register limits staff and keeps returns at the original location.
  • Con: There is no general ledger on this plan, so the books still live in another system. Plus is listed at a three-year subscription price of $2,300, which Shopify's POS cost guide describes as from $2,300/mo.
Good value

Shopify POS offers a tiered pricing structure that can be considered fair for businesses of varying sizes.

5
Brightpearl logo

Brightpearl

  • 4.4 on Capterra (199 reviews)
  • 4.5 on G2 (95 reviews)

Omnichannel retailers that want a retail accounting module and a quote.

Brightpearl screenshot
  • Pro: The offer includes a built-for-retail accounting module, or a connection to Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks, beside inventory, orders, and warehouse workflows, so you can keep the current ledger or take Brightpearl's.
  • Pro: Unlimited users are included at no extra per-seat charge, which suits a chain that would otherwise multiply a register license by headcount.
  • Pro: Implementation is scoped before you sign, and Brightpearl says that quote is a fixed cost, with a Technical Solution Proposal in the pack, so the project fee is known before you subscribe.
  • Con: There is no public USD subscription, so this row cannot be ranked against a published column, and a buyer who needs a number this week should wait.
  • Con: The Sage Intacct connector is included in the Brightpearl subscription, and the Sage Intacct platform fee is a separate bill that depends on the business, so the quote is incomplete until that platform fee is named.
Good value

Brightpearl's custom pricing model is typical for enterprise-level retail operations platforms.

6
Odoo logo

Odoo

  • 4.2 on Capterra (1,331 reviews)
  • 4.2 on G2 (355 reviews)

A store that wants the register and the ledger on one per-user fee.

  • Pro: Standard includes all apps, and the US list names Accounting, Inventory, and POS in that set, for one fee per user, which suits a single company that wants the till and the books together.
  • Pro: The discount on those Standard rates lasts 12 months and applies only to the initial users ordered, so a later hire pays without it.
  • Pro: One App Free is $0 for a single app and unlimited users, a sample of one module. Portal customers and suppliers are not paying users, so the seat count is staff in the backend.
  • Con: Accounting and POS together are two apps, so One App Free cannot be the retail stack. Adding a company or Studio moves the database to Custom.
  • Con: Custom lists $61 and $76.20 per user per month once a second company is required. Odoo.sh hosting and implementation are outside the user rate, and in-app credits for bill scanning are extra.
Great value

Odoo offers exceptional value for ERP.

7
Unleashed logo

Unleashed

Product sellers posting stock into Xero or QuickBooks under an order cap.

Unleashed screenshot
  • Pro: The monthly Lite rate is the card price, in USD before tax, and the annual column is $1,089 a year, which comes to $91 a month, so a catalog you will keep can prepay.
  • Pro: Xero and QuickBooks Online are the accounting integrations, and landed costs sit in the inventory features, so sellers can feed a ledger they already close.
  • Pro: Core, at $399/mo, is where multi-warehouse management starts, when a stockroom and a store are separate. Pro is $729/mo. Extra users are $69/mo on Lite and Core.
  • Con: Every published plan includes 100 sales orders a month, so a busier month is an upgrade. The next pack, up to 500 orders, is $70/mo, and unlimited orders are $490/mo.
  • Con: Phone support is a separate monthly package, self-service onboarding is a one-time $449, and Lite is not a point of sale, so the counter still needs its own register.
Good value

Unleashed's pricing, starting at $399/month for the Core plan, is on the higher side compared to some entry-level inventory management solutions, but it offers robust features from the start.

Watch out

Potential for API call overage fees

8
Zoho Inventory logo

Zoho Inventory

  • 4.5 on Capterra (421 reviews)
  • 4.4 on G2 (91 reviews)

A small catalog that should share items and bills with Zoho Books.

  • Pro: The US list prices Standard at $29 per organization per month billed annually, with 500 orders a month, 3 users, and 2 locations, a small catalog on one organization rather than a fee per store.
  • Pro: Connecting Zoho Books syncs settings, contacts, items, sales orders, purchase orders, bills, and common reports in both directions, and only inventory-tracked Books items import, so a service item stays out of stock.
  • Pro: An inventory item defaults to Sales, Cost of Goods Sold, and Inventory Asset, so the books can take a real inventory entry. The free plan allows 50 orders, 1 user, and 1 location after a 14-day trial.
  • Con: Serial number tracking and batch tracking are on Premium, listed at $79 per organization per month billed annually, with 3,000 orders, 5 users, and 4 locations, so serials mean you have left Standard.
  • Con: $39 is the monthly figure beside the annual Standard rate if you do not prepay. Enterprise is $249 per organization per month billed annually, and the till still lives on a separate register.
Good value

Zoho Inventory offers a fair pricing structure, especially for small to medium businesses.

Watch out

Overage fees for exceeding order limits

9
Erply logo

Erply

  • 4.2 on Capterra (31 reviews)
  • 3.4 on G2 (13 reviews)

Chains that want a store fee, or a register in front of NetSuite.

  • Pro: The gift-shop plan is listed at $59/store and at a lower rate as well, with 1 user, 1 terminal, x and z reports, and a monthly or annual contract, a single till rather than a chain back office.
  • Pro: The multichannel column lists $199/store and $179/store and includes a warehouse license, purchase and receiving, and a Shopify integration, so an online store can receive stock here.
  • Pro: The NetSuite HQ register starts at $1,800, and the franchise and chain plan starts at $3,500, with centralized purchasing and reporting, the floor in front of a corporate ledger.
  • Con: The entry store plan excludes back-office access and caps company net sales at $25,000 a month, with limited email support, so a stronger month has already outgrown it.
  • Con: Annual contracts are discounted, cancellation needs 30 days in writing, and the small plan is a till, so a controller still needs a ledger that can close the month.
Good value

Erply's pricing starts at a reasonable $59/month for basic POS, which is competitive for small shops.

10
NetSuite logo

NetSuite

  • 4.1 on G2 (4,927 reviews)
  • 4.2 on Capterra (2,068 reviews)

Multi-store retailers ready for an annual license and an implementation.

  • Pro: NetSuite describes the retail license as an annual fee made of the core platform, optional modules, and users, plus a one-time implementation, so year one includes a project cost the subscription will not show.
  • Pro: Commerce is an add-on module and can take orders from POS, web, and a call center against one inventory picture, including stores and pop-ups, which suits channels that must share stock.
  • Pro: Financials on the same platform include the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax management, so the close can live in the system that rang the sale.
  • Con: The retail, commerce, and financial offers include no USD amount, so a budget that needs a number this week cannot use this row yet.
  • Con: SuiteCommerce and other modules are add-ons on top of the core platform, and the NetSuite comparison is the place to set that quote next to Sage Intacct.
Fair value

It's best suited for growing businesses that require a comprehensive, integrated ERP system and can absorb the higher initial costs.

What retail accounting software actually is

Retail accounting software posts a register close, the stock you received, and the cost of what you sold into a ledger a store can close. A till that only prints a Z report has not done that job.

Landed cost on the receipt is the first test. Lightspeed calculates it from supplier cost, shipping, and import duty when a purchase order is received, then uses the average of those receipts for cost of goods sold. That math sits on Core and Plus, so a container store has to sign one of those columns. Basic, the cheaper X-Series column, leaves the duty out, and the cheaper signature hides freight from the margin report.

Where the journal lives is the second test. Cin7 and Unleashed keep the catalog and send it to Xero or QuickBooks Online, which suits a retailer whose accountant already has a file. Zoho Inventory syncs items, orders, and bills with Zoho Books, and an inventory item defaults to Sales, Cost of Goods Sold, and Inventory Asset. Brightpearl offers a built-for-retail accounting module or a connection to Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks. Odoo and NetSuite can hold the register activity and the general ledger in one product, the path when the till and the close should share a login.

The counter is the third test. Square and Shopify POS are the register. Square's paid retail plans add cost of goods and purchase orders, enough for a small shop that will keep a simple file beside the till. Shopify's included in-person selling is a lighter register, and POS Pro is the upgrade for a shop that stays open. Neither register is a general ledger, so the payout still has to land in a file you close separately. A plain small-business file, without this stock test, is the accounting software guide. Shelf counts with no journal belong in the inventory management guide.

Why the sticker price is the wrong retail comparison

These products do not share a meter, so a starts-at ranking compares a location, a user, an order cap, and a quote. Square charges Plus per location, so two shops are $98/mo and three Plus locations are $147/mo, still under a single Premium location. Multiply that fee before you compare the total with one Premium site.

Lightspeed publishes one X-Series price per column and then sends multiple locations to a custom plan. Additional service fees can apply. A second address is not a copy of the first invoice, and a chain should get that second location in writing before anyone signs.

Cin7 Standard includes 5 users and 6,000 sale orders a year, with a sync to Xero or QuickBooks Online, which fits a catalog that already has a ledger. Pro is $599/mo for 10 users and 24,000 orders. Advanced is $1,199/mo for 15 users and 120,000 orders. Passing the order cap is a tier change, so a growing year replaces the subscription.

Odoo Standard on the US list shows two per-user rates, and the discount lasts 12 months for the initial users ordered, so a later hire pays without it. Custom, the plan for a second company, Studio, or the external API, lists $61 and $76.20 per user per month. A cashier who can create documents in the backend is the kind of user Odoo charges, and a customer on the portal is not.

Unleashed Lite is the monthly bundle in the table, and the annual column works out to $91/mo if you can prepay. Every published plan includes 100 sales orders a month. The 500-order upgrade is $70/mo when one month breaks that allowance. Multi-warehouse is Core and Pro only, and Core is $399/mo when a stockroom and a store are separate places.

Zoho Inventory bills the organization rather than the store. Standard on the annual US page covers 500 orders, 3 users, and 2 locations, so a two-location shop can fit and a third location cannot. A higher figure sits beside that annual rate, which is the bill if you skip annual prepay.

If the company has one legal entity and no stock, use the small-business accounting guide instead. If stores, warehouses, and a web channel have to share one item master, read the ERP guide beside NetSuite and Brightpearl.

Key Features to Look For

  • Landed cost on the receipt (Essential)

Core and Plus split supplier cost, shipping, and import duty into average cost and cost of goods. Basic leaves that receipt in a spreadsheet, so the cheaper column hides duty.

  • A named accounting destination (Essential)

Xero and QuickBooks Online are the sync on Lightspeed Core and Plus, on Cin7, and on Unleashed. Zoho Inventory writes into Zoho Books. A demo that never names the file leaves the register day with nowhere to post.

  • Cost of goods on the plan you will sign (Essential)

Square puts cost of goods, stock intake, vendors, and purchase orders on Plus and Premium. The free plan stops at items, discounts, and sales reporting, so the $0 line cannot value what you sold.

  • A meter you can multiply (Essential)

Square and Erply bill the store. Odoo bills the backend user. Cin7 bills users plus a yearly order cap. Zoho Inventory bills the organization. The same two-shop chain is four different contracts, so the first sticker is the wrong comparison.

  • A register that matches the books (Important)

Shopify includes casual in-person selling on every paid plan and sells POS Pro per location, so a permanent store is an add-on. Lightspeed includes one register on the X-Series column and does not print a price for the next register.

  • Counts that can become a journal (Important)

Lightspeed can send a received purchase order to Xero or QuickBooks, and that send is manual. Stock adjustments, including a count, do not post themselves to Xero, so shrinkage stays a journal until someone writes it.

  • A second location on purpose (Important)

Square Premium adds cross-location returns and transfer orders, the plan when goods move between shops. Zoho Standard stops at 2 locations. In a chain, Lightspeed's multi-location price is a conversation, and NetSuite treats commerce as an add-on module.

  • Implementation that is not in the subscription (Nice to have)

Brightpearl scopes the project before you sign and quotes implementation at a fixed cost, so the project fee is visible early. NetSuite's retail license is annual, plus modules, users, and a one-time implementation. Odoo implementation sits outside the user rate.

What to decide before the demo

  1. If the margin has to include freight and duty, price Lightspeed Core before Basic. The accounting sync to Xero or QuickBooks Online sits on that same step up.

  2. If you have one or two counters and want a published location fee, price Square Plus, then multiply by stores. Premium is the plan with cross-location returns and transfer orders.

  3. If the catalog already lives in several channels and QuickBooks or Xero must stay the file, price Cin7 Standard and count orders against 6,000 a year before you assume Pro.

  4. If the brand is already on Shopify, add POS Pro for a permanent store and keep the general ledger somewhere else. The included register limits staff.

  5. If you want one fee for Accounting, Inventory, and POS, price Odoo Standard per backend user, and move to Custom the moment a second company is required.

Evaluation Checklist

  • On Lightspeed, confirm the order says Core or Plus before landed cost or the Xero and QuickBooks sync is in the price, and ask what a second location costs in writing.

  • On Square, confirm Plus or Premium before purchase orders and cost of goods, then multiply the location fee by every shop. A purchase order holds at most 500 unique items and whole quantities only, so a partial case will not fit.

  • On Cin7, count users and yearly sale orders against Standard before you treat the sticker as the whole store. Ask whether the point of sale row is inside that subscription or an extra register.

  • On Shopify, add POS Pro for each permanent location on top of Basic, Grow, or Advanced, and name the accounting app that will receive the payout.

  • On Odoo, count backend users, not portal customers, and include the bookkeeper. Confirm you are still on Standard if you only have one company.

  • On Unleashed, confirm Xero or QuickBooks Online is on the Lite order. Price the 500-order pack if the month will pass 100 sales orders, or the busy month becomes an upgrade.

  • On Zoho Inventory, match orders, users, and locations to Standard, and step to Premium if you need serial or batch tracking. Confirm the Shopify connection's plan.

  • On Erply, reject the gift-shop plan if you need the back office. On Brightpearl and NetSuite, require a written range before either quote leaves the shortlist.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • ×

Signing Lightspeed Basic because it looks like a store system. Landed cost and the Xero or QuickBooks sync are the next column up.

  • ×

Comparing one Square Plus fee with one Lightspeed location. Plus is charged again for every additional shop.

  • ×

Treating Shopify's included in-person selling as POS Pro. The permanent-store features sit on the extra location subscription.

  • ×

Buying Cin7 Standard and assuming it includes a register. The point of sale is its own row, and 6,000 sale orders is the yearly cap.

  • ×

Starting on Odoo One App Free with Accounting. Adding POS means leaving that plan for Standard.

  • ×

Putting a chain on Erply's gift-shop plan. Back-office access is excluded, and net sales are capped for the month.

  • ×

Assuming a stock count already hit the general ledger. On Lightspeed, a stock adjustment still needs a journal in Xero.

Expert Tips

  • →

Map shipping and duty before the first Lightspeed receipt. Those amounts need specific Xero or QuickBooks accounts, or landed cost has nowhere to post.

  • →

Multiply the Square location fee across every shop before you compare it with one Premium location. Do that before you upgrade a single site for transfer orders.

  • →

Export a month of Cin7 sale orders before you pick Standard, Pro, or Advanced. The cap is annual, and the overage is a higher tier.

  • →

Name the accounting file in the Shopify project plan. POS Pro improves the register and still publishes no general ledger.

  • →

Count Odoo backend users with the bookkeeper included. The US discount covers the initial users for 12 months, and a later hire sits outside it.

  • →

Ask Brightpearl whether the quote is the retail accounting module or only a sync. Separate the Sage Intacct platform fee from the connector.

  • →

Send one received purchase order into the ledger during the trial. If that send is manual, put it on the closing checklist.

Red Flags to Watch For

  • A Lightspeed quote that says Basic for a store that receives containers. Landed cost and the accounting integrations are on Core and Plus.

  • Square Free sold as retail accounting. Cost of goods, vendors, and purchase orders start on Plus, and the fee is per location.

  • Shopify's included in-person selling treated as the store system. That inclusion limits staff and keeps returns at the original location.

  • Cin7 Standard assumed to be unlimited orders. The published cap is 6,000 sale orders a year, and the point of sale is its own row.

  • Odoo One App Free presented as a retail ledger. That plan is one app, so Accounting and POS together are Standard.

  • Erply's small-stock plan sold as a chain back office. It is one user, one terminal, with no back-office access and a monthly sales cap.

  • A NetSuite retail conversation that never says whether SuiteCommerce is in the license. Commerce is an add-on, and no dollar is published.

The Bottom Line

For a specialty store in 2026, start with Lightspeed Core when freight and duty have to sit inside average cost and then reach Xero or QuickBooks. Choose Square Plus when the operation is still a short list of locations and you can multiply a published fee. Choose Cin7 Standard when the catalog is the hard part and the ledger should stay where the accountant already works.

Brightpearl is the retail accounting module you quote, the fit when unlimited users matter more than a sticker. Odoo Standard is the one-fee suite for a single company, and a second company leaves it. NetSuite is the annual license once stores, warehouses, and the general ledger have to be the same system, which is the trade on NetSuite vs Sage Intacct. A shop with no stock receipt to cost should leave this page for the small-business accounting guide.

Published starting points in September 2026 are Square Plus at $49 per location, Lightspeed Core at the price in the table, and Cin7 Standard at $349/mo for 5 users and 6,000 sale orders a year. Shopify's permanent store is a base plan plus POS Pro at $89/mo per location. Odoo Standard lists $31.10 and $38.90 per user per month on the US page.

Unleashed Lite is the monthly bundle in the table, with 100 sales orders included. Zoho Inventory Standard is the annual organization rate in that same table. Erply's small-stock plan is listed at $59/store. Brightpearl and NetSuite do not publish a USD subscription.

Is there a free accounting option for a retail store?

Square Free has no monthly software fee and still charges 2.6% + 15¢ on an in-person card. It does not include cost of goods, vendors, or purchase orders, so the free counter cannot value the stock. Zoho Inventory's free plan allows 50 orders a month, 1 user, and 1 location, a sample catalog rather than a store season.

Odoo One App Free is $0 for one app and unlimited users, so it cannot hold Accounting and POS together. Lightspeed, Cin7, Brightpearl, and NetSuite do not offer a free retail close. Shopify offers 3 days free and then 3 months at $1/mo, after which the plan price applies.

How do Lightspeed and Square differ for a store's books?

Lightspeed Core is the plan that calculates landed cost and syncs Xero or QuickBooks Online. Basic does not, so duty stays out of the margin. Purchase orders are sent to those ledgers one at a time, and a stock count still needs a manual journal in Xero. A second Lightspeed location is custom.

Square Plus puts cost of goods and purchase orders on the location fee, and Premium adds cross-location returns and transfer orders. Square's marketplace lists a connector that imports transactions into QuickBooks Online. Cash and check have no Square processing fee. The register comparison, separate from the ledger, is the POS systems guide.

Does Shopify POS include accounting software?

No. Shopify sells the commerce plan, the card rates, and POS Pro. It does not sell a general ledger. Casual in-person selling is included. POS Pro, the per-location fee in the table, adds staff roles, inventory, and returns at any location. Shopify describes that fee as billed yearly.

Grow is $105/mo before that location fee. In-person cards start at 2.6% + 10¢ on Basic. The payout still has to land in Xero, QuickBooks, or another file, which is why a Shopify brand should also read the ecommerce accounting guide.

When should a retailer move from a register sync to NetSuite or Brightpearl?

Move when more than one channel has to share items, orders, and the general ledger, and a manual send from the till is the step that breaks the month. Brightpearl includes a retail accounting module or a sync to Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks, with unlimited users and no public price. NetSuite prices an annual platform, modules, and users, and sells commerce as an add-on.

Neither number is on the website. Ask Brightpearl whether the quote is the accounting module or only the connector, and ask NetSuite whether SuiteCommerce is in the license. The financial-cloud alternative is NetSuite vs Sage Intacct.

Can Zoho Inventory or Unleashed replace the store's ledger?

They replace the stock subledger, not the whole close, unless you pair them with the accounting product they name. Zoho Inventory syncs both ways with Zoho Books, and items post to Sales, Cost of Goods Sold, and Inventory Asset. Standard is $29 per organization per month billed annually. Serial and batch tracking start on Premium at $79.

Unleashed lists Xero and QuickBooks Online, includes 100 sales orders on every published plan, and starts multi-warehouse on Core at $399/mo. A single-location shop that only needs a company file should use the accounting software guide and keep these two for the catalog.
