An AI tool for a CISO is software that detects, ranks, or explains a risk the CISO has to answer for: an endpoint, a cloud path, an identity, a vulnerability, or an audit control. If it cannot point at that risk in the environment, it is a writing aid, not a security system.
The SOC platform comes first, because that choice sets the rest of the budget. CrowdStrike and SentinelOne own the endpoint decision, and Elastic owns the log bill when you refuse a per-device tax. Wiz owns the cloud and AI graph, which is a different budget from another agent on the laptop, so skip it if the gap is the laptop.
Okta stops identity attacks only on the suite that actually includes Okta AI, so a lower suite will not match the demo.
