About Intercom MCP

Intercom MCP is the vendor's official server for bringing customer support data into an AI client. It covers the objects that make up the Intercom support workflow: conversations and their message history, contacts with custom attributes and activity timestamps, companies, tickets, and help center articles. A universal search tool sits on top, so an agent can find the right conversation or contact from a partial description, then fetch the complete record by ID when it needs the detail. The value shows up in questions support and product teams already ask but rarely have time to answer. Pull every conversation mentioning a feature over a period and summarize the complaints. Check a customer's history before a call, including which tickets are open and what was promised. Find whether a help center article already covers a question that keeps arriving, or spot the gap where one should exist. Because contact records carry custom attributes, conversations can be sliced by plan, region or any attribute the account already tracks. The server is hosted by Intercom, so connecting means authorizing a client rather than deploying anything. The tool set is read-heavy by design, which fits analysis work and keeps an agent from replying to customers by accident. Support leads, product managers mining feedback, and teams grounding their own AI agents in real conversation history are the natural users. Transcripts contain personal data, so scope access accordingly.
