About Zoho MCP
Zoho's MCP offering exposes Zoho applications, with CRM as the primary surface, to AI clients as callable tools. An agent can search and read records across modules such as leads, contacts, accounts, and deals, create or update them, attach notes and tasks, and move a record through pipeline stages. It operates against the live account, so what the assistant reports and what a rep sees in the interface are the same data. Because the underlying model is the one the revenue team already uses, the useful work is mundane: summarizing an account before a call, logging what happened after it, listing every open deal past its expected close date, or drafting follow ups from the actual activity history rather than from a pasted summary. Other Zoho services connect through the same protocol, which lets an assistant span CRM and the surrounding suite without a bespoke integration for each application. Authentication runs through Zoho's OAuth flow and the agent inherits the scopes and record level permissions granted to the connecting user, which matters when a shared assistant sits in front of customer data. It is aimed at sales, support, and revenue operations teams on Zoho that want an assistant able to both answer questions about the pipeline and write back to it, with the same guardrails the human user already works under.
