What is ScaledPapers?

ScaledPapers is uptime monitoring and status pages in one product, built to replace a Pingdom + Statuspage stack. HTTP, API, DNS, and TCP checks run every 60 seconds from five regions: San Francisco, Ashburn, Montreal, Frankfurt, and Singapore. A single failed check is recorded, not sent. A check only goes down after the number of consecutive failures you choose (1, 2, 3, or 5), so one network blip never pages you. Once confirmed, ScaledPapers opens the incident, sends one alert to email, Slack, Discord, PagerDuty, Pushover, or webhooks, updates your status page, and notifies subscribers. Recovery resolves it automatically. Status pages run on your own domain (status.yourcompany.com) with HTTPS issued and renewed for you, plus password-protected private pages for internal services. Everything is available in the console, the REST API, and an MCP server with 30+ tools, so Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex can create checks, build status pages, and open incidents for you. API and MCP requests are unlimited and never billed. Free covers 5 checks at a 5-minute interval with no card required. Pro offers a flat paid tier for the whole workspace: 25 checks, 60-second interval, 5 regions, 5 status pages, and 90 days of history.

ScaledPapers FAQ

How does ScaledPapers help a team reduce alert fatigue while keeping a status page updated?

ScaledPapers uses a confirmation period that records a single failed check without sending an alert. An incident only opens after the number of consecutive failures you choose (1, 2, 3, or 5), so one network blip never pages you. Once confirmed, it automatically opens the incident, sends one alert, updates your status page, and notifies subscribers.

How does ScaledPapers differ from Pingdom in its pricing and alerting approach?

ScaledPapers offers a flat paid tier for the whole workspace with no per-seat or per-alert fees. Its alerting includes a confirmation period that prevents false alarms by only triggering after consecutive failures. ScaledPapers also includes custom-domain status pages with managed HTTPS on the Pro plan.

What are the main limitations of ScaledPapers' monitoring coverage?

ScaledPapers monitors from five probe regions: San Francisco, Ashburn, Montreal, Frankfurt, and Singapore. Additional regions require an Enterprise plan. The Free plan checks every 5 minutes from a single region, and there is no SLA on the Free or Pro plans; a written SLA is only available on Enterprise.

Which teams benefit most from ScaledPapers' flat-rate workspace pricing?

Teams that want predictable monitoring costs without per-seat or per-alert fees benefit most from ScaledPapers' flat pricing. The Pro plan covers the entire workspace with 25 checks, 60-second intervals, five regions, five status pages, and 90 days of history for one flat rate. This suits growing teams that need to scale monitoring without surprise charges.

How is ScaledPapers priced?

ScaledPapers offers a free tier covering 5 checks at a 5-minute interval with no credit card required. The Pro plan is a flat paid tier for the whole workspace, including 25 checks, 60-second intervals, five regions, five status pages, and 90 days of history. There are no per-seat or per-alert fees.

Does ScaledPapers support custom-domain status pages with HTTPS?

Yes, ScaledPapers Pro includes status pages on your own domain (like status.yourcompany.com) with HTTPS issued and renewed for you. It also supports password-protected private pages for internal services. The Free plan does not include custom domains.

Which incident notification channels does ScaledPapers integrate with?

ScaledPapers sends incident alerts to email, Slack, Discord, PagerDuty, Pushover, and webhooks. It also notifies subscribers of your status page. All integrations are available on the Pro plan.

Can ScaledPapers be used programmatically through an API or MCP server?

Yes, ScaledPapers provides a REST API and an MCP server with over 30 tools that are unlimited and never billed on every plan, including Free. This allows tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex to create checks, build status pages, and open incidents programmatically.
