What is Silarius Cloud?

Silarius Cloud is a cloud video surveillance (VSaaS) service that records the IP cameras, NVRs and DVRs a business already owns. ONVIF or RTSP cameras of almost any brand connect through the Silarius Gateway (one per 50 cameras); Silarius X cameras connect straight to the cloud with no NVR, Gateway or port forwarding. Each camera gets its own plan, 720p to 4K and a few days to a year of video (custom plans up to 3 years), viewed in a web browser or the iOS and Android apps.

Available on: Web, Android, iOS

Key Features

  • Works with existing ONVIF or RTSP IP cameras of almost any brand, and with NVRs and DVRs through the Silarius Gateway
  • Per-camera plans: 720p to 4K, a few days to a year of video, custom plans up to 3 years
  • No port forwarding: the Gateway and Silarius X cameras connect out over an encrypted tunnel

Is Silarius Cloud worth the price?

Good value

At $6.99 per camera per month for 720p, Silarius Cloud is reasonably priced for a bring-your-own-camera service, though higher resolutions and longer retention add cost.

The $299.99 Gateway is a fair one-time investment for connecting up to 50 existing cameras. This pricing is best for users who already own cameras and want affordable cloud storage without replacing hardware.
