Best Subscription Cancellation Apps in 2026

TL;DR

Short answer: Rocket Money Premium, typically $7 to $14 a month, is the pick when a team should cancel for you. Copilot Money at $95 a year fits if you will cancel the merchant yourself. Quicken Simplifi at $3.99 a month, billed annually, is the cheaper list, and Monarch Money Core at $99.99 a year is the household share.

The free Rocket Money plan only lists charges, a 7-day trial sits in front of Premium, and a charge can still post before the cancel is confirmed, so the next statement is part of the job.

The free screen that lists a streaming charge is not the same product as the team that ends it.

Ask a team to end the subscription, or keep the cancel button yourself. Rocket Money is the default when the job is a person contacting the merchant, which suits a household willing to hand over the account details the provider asks for. Cancellation help starts on Premium, the pay-what-you-choose plan, and the free plan stops at a list, so a free signup never sends the request.

Premium+ is a separate purchase: it adds Rowan, the assistant you text, and it removes the success fee on a negotiated cable or phone bill. You can tap Cancel This For Me without that tier. Buy it when you want a text before a free trial converts, and skip it when a form in the app is enough.

Some charges never reach that button, and Rocket Money's cancellation guide says subscriptions billed through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, or PayPal have to be ended on those platforms, and the app then shows the steps. A missing Cancel control means the merchant is not in the assisted list yet, so you finish that one yourself.

This is general information about software, not personalized financial advice, and it is not a recommendation to share a provider password. The comparison below is about who contacts the merchant.

Toolradar data: among the 67 personal finance tools we track, 64% include a free or freemium plan, while 24 (36%) are paid-only. A free row in that set can still leave the cancel request on a paid tier, which is why the price below is the tier that actually contacts the merchant.

A budget that only renames last month's merchants is a different question, covered in the AI personal finance guide. For a second walkthrough, Dupple has best AI personal finance tools, and Finpresso rounds up best budgeting apps. Work receipts belong in AI expense tracking, and company software contracts belong in subscription management software, which is the wrong shelf for a household streaming cancel.

Rocket Money

Rocket Money, the team that cancels the subscription for you.

Starting price
Premium $7 to $14/mo
Free plan
Free to use

Best for: People who want a person to end a streaming, gym, or app charge.

  • Pro: Premium and Premium+ can submit Cancel This For Me from the Recurring tab, on the app or the website, and the free plan only lists the subscription.
  • Pro: The help center says most cancellations finish within a few business days, you can submit more than one, and each request is handled on its own, so one slow gym does not freeze the streaming cancel.
  • Pro: Accounts connect through Plaid with 256-bit encryption, and the company says banking credentials are not stored on its servers, though the cancel form still needs the details the provider asks for.
  • Con: A charge can post before the provider confirms the cancel, and Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, and PayPal bills have to be ended on those platforms, so the next statement is still your check.
  • Con: The terms let agents share your name, address, account number, and security credentials, and represent that they are the account holder, which is more access than a read-only bank link.
Great value

This is generous pricing compared to many competitors that charge higher fees or take a cut of savings.

Copilot Money logo

Copilot Money

Copilot Money, the recurring list you cancel yourself.

Starting price
$95/yr ($7.92/mo)
Free plan
No

Best for: US households on iPhone, iPad, Mac, or the web who will end the charge.

  • Pro: The FAQ says it monitors subscriptions, including forgotten ones, and the Recurrings tab shows what is paid and what is still due this month.
  • Pro: A 1-month trial leads into the yearly plan on the homepage, and the FAQ says there is no permanent free tier and no ads, so the tracker itself becomes a renewal if you keep it.
  • Pro: Connections are read-only, and the May 2026 help article names Plaid, Mastercard, MX, and Akoya, and says Copilot does not store bank credentials.
  • Con: Nothing in the product cancels the merchant, so after you end the gym you archive the recurring, and a pause turns active again the next time that payment arrives.
  • Con: US institutions only, on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and the web, so a bank outside the US is the wrong account to link. A direct-purchase refund needs a cancel within one month and an email within five days of that cancel.
Good value

The annual plan offers a significant discount, effectively making it $7.92/month, which is more competitive.

Quicken Simplifi logo

Quicken Simplifi

Quicken Simplifi, the cheaper detected list of bills and subscriptions.

Starting price
$3.99/mo, billed yearly
Free plan
No
Rating
3.9 (28,283 reviews)

Best for: US or Canada users who want due dates and will cancel the merchant.

  • Pro: After you connect accounts, Simplifi detects recurring transactions such as subscriptions and builds reminders in Bills and Income and in projected cash flow.
  • Pro: The spending plan starts from income and subtracts bills and subscriptions, so a forgotten renewal shows up as money that is not left to spend.
  • Pro: Spaces and sharing add one other person, and the product page says the app connects to over 14,000 financial institutions.
  • Con: There is no free trial, the 30-day money-back guarantee refunds the purchase, and a refund ends access immediately, including the data in the profile.
  • Con: Connections are US and Canadian accounts, USD or CAD, one currency at a time, and the first-year promo is not the renewal price.
Good value

The 'Business & Personal' tier at $3.99/month also offers good value for combined financial management.

Monarch Money logo

Monarch Money

Monarch Money, one subscription for a household's recurring list.

Starting price
Core $99.99/yr
Free plan
No

Best for: Households that want every adult on one recurring-charge list.

  • Pro: Monarch scans synced transactions for recurring merchants, and the review flow lets you edit the amount, frequency, and date before the item counts.
  • Pro: Household members share one subscription and each gets a login, and the FAQ says adding them costs nothing extra.
  • Pro: The help center labels Core as a monthly or yearly price, with the first week free, and a cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends avoids the charge.
  • Con: Each merchant can have only one recurring, so two subscriptions from the same name need a second merchant profile, and identical amounts cannot be split by a rule.
  • Con: You cannot invite someone who already has a Monarch account, so they need a new email or they have to delete the old account first, and the app does not contact the merchant.
Good value

Every subscriber gets unlimited account connections, investment tracking, goals, alerts, and collaborator seats.

Watch out

Bank connection reliability: Monarch uses Plaid and MX for bank syncing. Some institutions (especially credit unions and smaller banks) disconnect frequently, requiring manual re-linking. This is an industry-wide problem, not Monarch-specific, but it still causes data gaps.

5
YNAB logo

YNAB

YNAB, where you schedule the charge and assign the dollars.

Starting price
$109/yr
Free plan
No

Best for: People who will type each renewal and fund it before it posts.

  • Pro: Scheduled transactions repeat on a frequency you pick, from weekly through yearly, and a yellow underfunded alert shows if the category cannot cover the next one.
  • Pro: The pricing page lists $109 a year, shown as $9.08 a month, or a monthly plan, plus a 34-day trial with no card when you start on ynab.com.
  • Pro: One subscription covers up to six people, direct import covers select US, Canadian, UK, and EU banks, and YNAB says it is an agent of Plaid.
  • Con: You create the repeating charge, there is no assisted cancel, and a posted bank transaction can take up to three days to appear through direct import.
  • Con: Monthly fees are not refundable, and a prorated refund on the cancellation page applies when you delete the account after buying an annual plan directly from YNAB.
Good value

At $14.99/month or $109/year ($9.08/month), YNAB's pricing is premium compared to free budgeting tools like Mint, but the annual plan offers a meaningful discount.

SuperMoney logo

SuperMoney

SuperMoney, Sense AI flags the bill and names a next step.

Starting price
Free to try
Free plan
Yes

Best for: People who want a suggested action and will still cancel the charge.

  • Pro: The March 2026 launch post says Sense AI scans recurring bills and spending, then tells you how to capture the saving, and the homepage says the analysis does not use personally identifiable information.
  • Pro: The same post says the company is SOC 2 Type II certified, and the app is free to try on iOS or at supermoney.com.
  • Pro: The terms describe monthly and annual plans that renew until you cancel, with a reminder at least once every 12 months that names the renewal charge and how to stop it.
  • Con: Sense AI does not contact the merchant, so the next step is still yours, and SuperMoney does not name who connects the accounts.
  • Con: SuperMoney publishes no renewal price, so the number is the one at checkout, and a free trial has to be cancelled before it ends or the plan bills.
Fair value

SuperMoney: Budgeting AI (SuperMoney LLC) is Free to download.

Watch out

A subscription is required. The dollar is not public on the listing we fetched.

Empower Personal Dashboard logo

Empower Personal Dashboard

Empower, a free category view with no cancellation desk.

Starting price
Dashboard free
Free plan
Free to use

Best for: People who want the charge categorized and will call the merchant.

  • Pro: The budgeting page says spending is categorized automatically, so a recurring merchant can show up in a category before you decide to cancel it.
  • Pro: The terms say use of the dashboard is free of charge, separate from wealth management you can decline.
  • Pro: The tools page lists cash flow, a savings planner, and debt paydown next to the budget, which is enough to see the charge without a second subscription.
  • Con: Nothing on the budgeting page contacts a streaming service or a gym, so the category is a view and the cancel still happens on the merchant's site.
  • Con: Personal Strategy starts at 0.89% a year when you invest $100,000 or more, and a free dashboard session that turns into that account is a different product from a cancellation.

GnuCash logo

GnuCash

GnuCash, a local schedule for subscriptions you cancel yourself.

Starting price

Free to use
Rating
4.2 (77 reviews)

Best for: People who will not give a company a bank login.

  • Pro: Version 5.16, released June 28, 2026, is free under the GPL, and the feature list includes scheduled transactions plus QIF and OFX import.
  • Pro: The project wiki says scheduled transactions are for repetitive entries such as subscriptions, so you enter the merchant once and get a prompt when it is due.
  • Pro: The Since Last Run assistant posts due items when you open the file, and you can keep the books on Linux, Windows, or macOS without an account on someone else's server.
  • Con: GnuCash does not detect a forgotten charge in a bank feed and does not contact the merchant, so if you never type the subscription it never appears.
  • Con: Windows builds target Windows 8, 10, and 11, and version 3.11 is the last release for Windows 7 and older macOS, so an old machine is a separate download.
Great value

GnuCash's pricing is exceptionally generous, as it is entirely free.

Finamie logo

Finamie

Finamie, speak the charge when you will not link a bank.

Starting price
$39.99/yr or $1.99/wk
Free plan
Yes

Best for: iPhone users who will log a subscription out loud, then cancel it.

  • Pro: You hold the record button and describe the transaction, and the homepage says the app is free to start, with no card, in English and Spanish.
  • Pro: The free plan includes 30 voice transactions a month and one analytics widget, and Premium is $39.99 a year, about $3.33 a month, or $1.99 a week.
  • Pro: Voice recordings are processed to pull out the amount and category and are not stored permanently after that, which is a different privacy choice from a bank link.
  • Con: Finamie does not see a charge you forget to speak, and it does not contact the merchant, so a silent month is a month with no subscription list.
  • Con: Editing or deleting a transaction requires Premium, the subscription is billed by Apple, cancelling it is in iPhone Settings, and 52 weeks at the weekly price is $103.48 against the yearly plan.
Good value

Finamie's pricing is quite generous, especially with its robust Free tier offering 30 voice transactions monthly.

Cleo logo

Cleo

Cleo, type cancel to end Cleo, not another company's bill.

Starting price
Plus $5.99/mo
Free plan
Yes

Best for: People who already pay Cleo and need that charge to stop.

  • Pro: The Plus help article says you cancel under Profile, then Subscriptions, or you can type cancel in the chat, and you get a confirmation email.
  • Pro: The January 21, 2026 help article lists Plus at $5.99 a month or $44.99 a year, and Pro at $8.99 a month with no annual plan.
  • Pro: A Plus refund is available if you cancel within one month of signing up and you have not taken a cash advance, and the help article says the refund can take four business days.
  • Con: That cancel path ends Cleo, and it does not end a streaming service, a gym, or an app store subscription, so deleting the app leaves the Cleo charge in place.
  • Con: Plus and Pro can offer a cash advance up to $250 if you qualify, an open advance is still due after you cancel, and a charge FAQ says some plan prices vary by signup date.
Good value

Cleo's pricing is fair and competitive for a cash advance and budgeting app.

What a subscription cancellation app actually does

A subscription cancellation app finds a recurring charge and either asks the merchant to end it or shows you the steps to end it. A budget that only renames the merchant leaves the charge in place, so the renewal still hits the card.

A person who contacts the merchant suits a household that will hand over the account details the provider asks for. Rocket Money detects recurring charges after you link accounts, and Premium members can submit Cancel This For Me from the Recurring tab on the phone or the website.

The help center says the team then contacts the provider. Most requests finish within a few business days, and some providers take longer, so a charge dated inside that window can still post. The January 2026 pricing guide still describes a usual window of 2 to 10 days. If the Cancel option is missing, the same screen offers instructions, because that merchant is not in the assisted list yet.

A flagged charge you cancel yourself suits someone who wants the leak named and will open the merchant's site. Copilot Money monitors subscriptions, including ones you forgot, on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and the web, and its FAQ says it is not a bank and does not process payments. After you cancel the gym, you archive the recurring so it leaves expected spend.

Quicken Simplifi detects recurring series such as subscriptions after you connect a US or Canadian account, then shows reminders under Bills and Income. Monarch Money scans new transactions for recurring merchants and asks you to approve them before they count, so two adults can share the list and still place the cancel call.

A schedule you type suits someone who already knows the renewal and will not wait for a detector to find it. YNAB lets you add a repeating transaction at daily through yearly frequencies, and a yellow underfunded alert appears if the category cannot cover the next one. GnuCash schedules the same kind of entry in a local file, and the project wiki names subscriptions as a reason to use that feature, so the prompt exists only for a merchant you typed.

Finamie is the voice log when you will say the charge out loud and skip a bank link, which means a subscription you forget to speak never appears. SuperMoney scans recurring bills with Sense AI and describes a next step, which still leaves the cancel click to you, so the suggestion is a to-do rather than a completed cancel.

A category total, with no cancel desk, suits a free look at where the money went. Empower Personal Dashboard categorizes spending on a dashboard the company offers at no charge, and it does not contact the streaming service, so the category is a view you act on elsewhere. Cleo will walk you through ending Cleo when you type cancel in the chat, and that path leaves every other company's bill in place. The wider set of budgets sits under budgeting apps.

Why the cancel request and the success fee are different bills

The percent you have seen on a Rocket Money negotiation is not the price of ending Netflix. Bill negotiation, for cable, internet, and phone, charges 35% to 60% of the first year's savings on Free and Premium, and only if the rate drops, so a streaming cancel does not inherit that bill. Cancellation assistance sits inside membership, and it does not add that percent on top. Premium+ at $15 a month plus tax waives the negotiation fee and still includes the cancellation tools already on Premium. Buy that tier for Rowan or for a fee-free negotiation.

A successful cancel can still lose one billing cycle. The help center says a charge may go through before the cancellation is confirmed, depending on the billing date, and it tells you to check the next statement before you count the money as saved. Submitting five requests is allowed, and each one is handled separately, so a slow merchant does not block the form for the others. If you change your mind, the in-app chat is the path the help center names, and it does not promise the provider will reverse a request already in progress.

The authorization is broader than a bank link, and Rocket Money's terms say a cancellation request makes the company your limited agent. It may pass your name, service address, account number, and security credentials to the provider, and its agents may represent that they are the account holder in order to finish the cancel. Skip the request if you will not grant that access, and use the in-app instructions instead.

The tracker you pay for can become the next forgotten charge. Copilot's terms renew the subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, so a trial you meant to sample becomes the next renewal if that window passes. Simplifi auto-renews, and the pricing footnote says the first-year offer applies when you order directly from Quicken by September 23, 2026, 11:59 PT, after which renewal is at the then-current rate. The product page showed a lower monthly offer with $6.99 crossed out, so the renewal can jump once the promo ends. Mint is not a fallback login: Intuit's Mint site says Mint has been reimagined on Credit Karma, so the old screen will not file a cancel for you.

Key Features to Look For

  • A person who contacts the merchant (Essential)

Rocket Money's Cancellation Assistant is on Premium and Premium+, and free members see the subscription without a Cancel This For Me control. The team asks the provider to end the service, and Premium features copy says the team will try for a refund when it can, which is an attempt rather than a promised credit. Copilot, Simplifi, Monarch, YNAB, SuperMoney, Empower, GnuCash, Finamie, and Cleo leave that call with you.

  • A path when the button is missing (Essential)

If Rocket Money cannot cancel that merchant, the app shows instructions instead of a request form. Charges billed through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, or PayPal are in that group and have to be ended on the platform that sold them. A tracker that lists the charge and never names the platform still leaves you hunting for the cancel page.

  • A fee that belongs to a different job (Essential)

The success fee is a share of first-year savings on a negotiated bill, chosen when you submit, and Premium+ waives it, so a streaming cancel is not waiting on that invoice. A subscription cancellation does not use that schedule, and treating every Rocket Money email as a success-fee bill will make you delay a cancel that membership already covers.

  • A detector you still have to finish (Important)

Copilot's Recurrings tab tracks paid and upcoming items, and archiving a recurring removes it from expected spend after you have cancelled the merchant. A pause lets the next payment mark it active again. Simplifi builds a recurring series and a reminder, which still leaves the merchant's button to you. Monarch's review flow asks you to approve a merchant before it counts, and each merchant can hold only one recurring, so two charges under one name need a second profile.

  • A connector the vendor names (Important)

Rocket Money connects through Plaid, uses 256-bit encryption, and says banking credentials are not stored on its servers. Copilot's help center names Plaid, Mastercard, MX, and Akoya, plus direct links for Apple, Capital One, Public, and Coinbase, and says it does not store credentials. Monarch names Plaid, Finicity, and MX, and YNAB states it is an agent of Plaid. If a vendor does not name the connector, treat the link as unknown, because you cannot tell who holds the bank login.

  • A second person on the same list (Important)

Rocket Money account sharing is a Premium feature, so the free plan is one login. Monarch puts household members on one subscription, and an existing Monarch account cannot be invited until that person uses a new email or deletes the old account. Simplifi's spaces and sharing add one other person, and YNAB shares one subscription with up to six people. A second full-price login is wasted when the seat is already in the plan.

  • A schedule that never takes a bank login (Important)

GnuCash 5.16 imports QIF or OFX and schedules the subscription in a file on the computer, with no bank password required. Finamie takes a spoken transaction, up to 30 a month on the free plan, and does not link a bank, so a quiet month is a month with no list. YNAB can also run on file import or manual entry when direct import does not cover the bank. Those paths still leave the merchant's cancel page to you.

  • The app's own renewal, written down (Nice to have)

Premium cancellation inside Rocket Money is a slider to $0 a month, and access lasts through the billing cycle. Copilot, Simplifi, Monarch, YNAB, Finamie, and Cleo each renew until you cancel that product, and deleting the Cleo or Finamie app does not end the charge. The cancellation app can become the subscription you meant to hunt.

What to decide before you submit a cancel request

  1. If you want a team to contact the merchant, start with Rocket Money Premium, and move to Premium+ only when you also want Rowan or a negotiation with no success fee.

  2. If the charge is billed by Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, or PayPal, start in that platform's subscription settings, because the assisted cancel does not cover those checkouts and the wait is wasted.

  3. If you will cancel the merchant yourself and you bank in the US, start with Copilot on iPhone, iPad, Mac, or the web, or with Simplifi when the account is in the US or Canada and the lower annual price matters.

  4. If two adults need the same list, start with Monarch Core or with YNAB's shared subscription, and do not buy a second seat until you have tried the included login.

  5. If you will not give a company a bank login or a provider password, start with GnuCash or with Finamie's voice log, and treat every hosted connection as a separate privacy choice.

Evaluation Checklist

  • On Rocket Money, open Recurring, pick one real subscription, and confirm whether the menu says Cancel This For Me or only View Instructions, because the second result means you still cancel it yourself even on Premium.

  • Before you submit, read the authorization: the request lets the team share account details and, if needed, represent that they are the account holder. Decline it if that is more access than you want, and use the instructions instead.

  • On Copilot, flag one forgotten charge during the 1-month trial, cancel it at the merchant, then archive the recurring, because a pause is the wrong control and the next payment marks it active again.

  • On Simplifi, confirm one detected series against a real subscription, and write down the crossed-out monthly rate next to the promo, because the first-year footnote runs through September 23, 2026, 11:59 PT.

  • On Monarch, approve one merchant in the recurring review during the first week, and invite the household before you open Plus, because Plus is the forecast tier and the detector already sits on Core.

  • On YNAB, schedule one monthly subscription during the 34-day trial on ynab.com, where a card is not required, and check whether the category shows underfunded before the date.

Prices were taken from each vendor site on September 23, 2026. Rocket Money's Premium band is the typical range in its pricing article, and the amount on your signup screen can differ, so the slider is the price you actually accept. Quicken's crossed-out rate sits beside a first-year offer that the pricing footnote limits to orders placed by 11:59 PT on that date.

SuperMoney publishes no list price, so the checkout is the price. Cleo's charge FAQ says some Plus and Builder amounts vary by when you signed up, so the figures here are the listed rates published on January 21, 2026. Mistakes to Avoid

  • ×

Upgrading to Premium+ because a blog called it the cancellation plan spends the higher tier on a button Cancel This For Me already offers on Premium. Premium+ is Rowan plus fee-free bill negotiation, at a fixed monthly price plus tax.

  • ×

Waiting for Rocket Money to end an Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, or PayPal subscription burns the renewal window. The help center sends those to the store that billed them, and the in-app instructions are what you get instead.

  • ×

Leaving a cancelled gym in Copilot without archiving it keeps the charge in expected spend, and pausing the recurring is only a hold until the next matching payment.

  • ×

Assuming Monarch will split two subscriptions from one merchant leaves one of them off the list, because the help center allows one recurring per merchant and a second profile has to be created on purpose.

  • ×

Letting a Simplifi promo renew at the crossed-out rate misses the offer footnote, which is a first-year window, after which auto-renewal uses the then-current price.

  • ×

Deleting the Cleo or Finamie app and treating that as a cancel leaves the charge running, because both companies say the subscription survives the delete and has to be ended in the product or in the App Store.

Expert Tips

  • →

Submit the Rocket Money request more than a few business days before the renewal, because the help center says a charge can still post and the pricing guide's usual window runs as long as 2 to 10 days.

  • →

On Copilot, archive a cancelled merchant and pause only a service you intend to restart, because the next payment on a paused recurring marks it active without a second prompt.

  • →

On YNAB, use Underfunded at the start of the month so every scheduled subscription has dollars assigned, and the yellow alert is the warning that the category is short.

  • →

On Monarch, approve the recurring review before you invite the household, because an existing Monarch login cannot join and the second adult needs the invite link plus a fresh email.

  • →

Price Finamie's weekly plan against the year before you leave it on, because the homepage lists $1.99 a week beside $39.99 a year, and Apple is who you ask for a refund.

  • →

Keep a one-line note of the platform that bills each subscription, because Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, and PayPal charges never enter Rocket Money's assisted queue.

Red Flags to Watch For

  • A Rocket Money pitch that prices a streaming cancel at 35% to 60% of savings is selling the bill-negotiation fee, and Premium+ is the plan that removes that fee.

  • A Cancel This For Me button promised for an Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, or PayPal charge will not clear it, because those have to be ended on the platform that billed them.

  • A paused Copilot recurring you treat as cancelled comes back the next time that payment arrives, and expected spend returns with it.

  • A Simplifi checkout after the published offer window, or a renewal you assumed would stay at the promo, misses the footnote, which limits the discount to new orders placed in time and then uses the then-current rate.

  • An Empower budget tour that ends in Personal Strategy is a different product, and that managed account starts at 0.89% a year once you invest $100,000.

  • A Cleo chat you treat as a concierge for other companies only ends Cleo, and deleting the app leaves the Cleo charge running.

The Bottom Line

Rocket Money Premium is the subscription cancellation app when you want the team to contact the merchant, and the free plan is only the list. Copilot, Simplifi, and Monarch are the right buy when you will press the merchant's button after the charge is named. YNAB, GnuCash, and Finamie fit when you will type or speak the renewal yourself, and Cleo only ends Cleo.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best subscription cancellation app in 2026?

Rocket Money Premium is the best subscription cancellation app in 2026 when you want a team to contact the merchant. The pay-what-you-choose price is typically $7 to $14 a month, with a 7-day trial, and the free plan lists subscriptions without submitting Cancel This For Me. Copilot Money, at $95 a year, is the alternative when you will cancel the merchant yourself after the recurring charge is flagged.

How much does it cost to have an app cancel subscriptions?

Rocket Money includes cancellation assistance on Premium, the pay-what-you-choose plan, and on Premium+ at $15 a month plus tax, which is the tier that also waives the separate negotiation fee. That success fee applies to a negotiated cable, internet, or phone bill, not to ending a subscription. Simplifi's annual offer showed $3.99 a month, with $6.99 crossed out, on September 23, 2026, if you would rather cancel the merchant yourself.

Is there a free subscription cancellation app?

Rocket Money's free plan tracks subscriptions and does not cancel them for you, so the free row is a list rather than a desk. Empower's dashboard is free and categorizes spending, GnuCash is free and can schedule a subscription you type, and Finamie's free plan covers 30 voice transactions a month. None of those free tools contact the merchant. SuperMoney is free to try, and the paid price appears at checkout.

Is Rocket Money or Copilot Money better for canceling subscriptions?

Rocket Money is the better cancel tool because Premium asks the provider to end the service, which is the buy when you want off the phone. Copilot Money is the better list if you want forgotten recurring charges named on an iPhone, iPad, Mac, or the web and you will cancel them yourself. Copilot is US accounts only, does not hold your money, and tells you to archive a recurring after the merchant is cancelled. A side-by-side of two household budgets is Monarch against Quicken.

Can these apps cancel Apple, Google Play, or Amazon subscriptions?

Rocket Money's help center says subscriptions billed through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, or PayPal have to be cancelled on that platform, so an assisted request will not clear an App Store renewal. If the Cancel option is missing, the app shows instructions instead of sending the team. Copilot, Simplifi, Monarch, and YNAB can show the charge and still leave that store's subscription screen to you. Finamie's own plan is an Apple subscription, ended in iPhone Settings.

Does canceling a subscription through Rocket Money charge a success fee?

The published 35% to 60% fee applies when Rocket Money negotiates a lower rate on a bill such as cable, internet, or phone, and only if the negotiation works, so a streaming cancel is a different bill. Cancellation assistance is part of Premium and Premium+, and the cancellation articles do not add that percent. You still authorize the company as your limited agent, including sharing account credentials so the provider will process the cancel.

What if I still use Mint to find subscriptions?

Intuit's Mint site says Mint has been reimagined on Credit Karma, so the old Mint login is not a subscription manager you can reopen and point at a cancel button. Copilot and Monarch are paid replacements that detect recurring charges, and both leave the merchant cancel to you. Rocket Money is the option in this list that will contact the provider, on Premium, after you link accounts through Plaid.
