About Bright Data MCP

Bright Data MCP is a Model Context Protocol server that gives AI agents real-time access to public web data through Bright Data's proxy and scraping infrastructure. It wraps Web Unlocker, Crawl API, Browser API, and SERP API behind a single JSON-RPC endpoint, so your AI agent can fetch web pages, search engines, and structured data without dealing with anti-bot measures, CAPTCHAs, or IP blocking. The server publishes over 50 ready-made tools organized by domain: search engine queries, generic URL scraping as markdown, and site-specific scrapers for e-commerce, social media, news, real estate, finance, and LinkedIn. Requests flow through a pool of 150 million or more rotating residential IPs spanning 195 countries, with a purpose-built Scraping Browser that renders JavaScript so agents see the fully loaded DOM. Browser automation uses ARIA snapshots and ref-based element targeting for reliable, maintenance-friendly scripts. Bright Data offers a free tier of 5,000 requests per month covering search results and "scrape as markdown" tools, no credit card required. The full tool surface (60 plus specialized scrapers) uses Bright Data's Web Scraper API with usage-based pricing. The server integrates with Claude Desktop, Cursor, and VS Code through one-click setup, and supports country-targeted requests for geo-specific content. It is open source on GitHub and actively maintained with regular releases.
