About Filament

Filament is an open-source UI framework built with Livewire, designed to significantly speed up the development of Laravel admin panels, customer-facing applications, and SaaS products. It provides a comprehensive set of tools and pre-built components, allowing developers to avoid repetitive UI tasks and focus on core application logic. The framework leverages the TALL stack (Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, Laravel, Livewire) to enable the creation of dynamic, maintainable, full-stack applications with minimal effort. Filament offers a suite of builders including a Panel Builder for full applications, a Form Builder with over 25 out-of-the-box components, and a Table Builder for interactive datatables. It also includes features like real-time Notifications, interactive Actions (modals/slide-overs), an Infolist Builder for displaying read-only record information, and a Widgets system for creating dashboards with charts and stats. Recent updates in Version 4 introduce nested resources, improved performance (2-3x faster rendering), custom data source support for tables, a new TipTap-based Rich Editor, and adoption of Tailwind CSS v4 for enhanced styling.
