About Zoom MCP

Zoom MCP is Zoom's remote Model Context Protocol endpoint, a hosted server an MCP client connects to over the network rather than a package you install locally. Once a user completes the OAuth sign-in, the assistant gets read access to that account's meeting history and calendar context plus scheduling actions, so a conversation about a call can pull the actual call. What it exposes is meeting intelligence. An agent can search past meetings in plain language, retrieve the AI-generated summary of a meeting, pull transcripts and recording metadata, and read the notes and action items produced during a call. Scheduling sits on the write side, letting an assistant find a slot and create a meeting instead of bouncing the user back to the Zoom client. Zoom has extended the server to reason across meeting content together with records from connected business systems, so a question can span what was said on a call and the account or ticket it concerned. The value is that meeting context stops being trapped in a video platform. Sales teams pull the last few calls with an account before drafting a follow-up, managers reconstruct decisions from a summary rather than a recording, and engineering assistants turn action items into tickets. Everything runs under the signed-in user's Zoom permissions, so an agent sees only the meetings and recordings that account can already open.
