What the timestamp means
pricingCheckedAt is stamped when the pricing cron finishes a pass on that tool, including passes that find no change, no pricing URL, or a page the extractor will not trust. It is the last attempt, not the last time a human confirmed a dollar.
The cron walks published tools that already have pricing details, least recently checked first. A null timestamp means that tool has not been through this cron. It does not mean the listing has no price. Many of those 3,334 still show a pricing label and a pricingDetails blob from import.
Re-checking a page and applying a new price are different steps. The cron files a proposal only when a monthly number moves on a stable tier set. A human applies it. Until that happens, the public dollar stays. Freshness can be high while the applied-change count stays at zero. Both facts are true on September 22.
How to read a price on Toolradar
Use three pages, in this order:
- The tool's pricing page, which shows the stored tiers and the check date when one exists.
- This page, for whether the catalog as a whole is being re-read.
- The change log, for whether a moved dollar has been accepted. It has not, yet.
/statistics/pricing remains the place for the median and the bands. This report does not republish those medians. Mixing a median computed on checked and never-checked rows with a freshness rate would imply the median is 30 days old. It is not. 31% of the rows have no check at all.
What this page refuses
- It will not name the 3,334 never-checked tools as if each price were wrong. Absence of a cron stamp is not a wrong price.
- It will not call 69% "verified by a human this month."
- It will not hide the two tools that make the bars fail to sum to 10,667.
