Hidden Costs & Gotchas
Workers CPU that runs the query is billed on Workers pricing, on top of D1 rows (official FAQ).
Dashboard and Wrangler queries count as billable reads/writes, including CREATE INDEX and INSERT of seed data.
An index write counts as an extra row written. Empty databases still use about 12 KB.
Free daily limits reset at 00
00 UTC. Exceed them and D1 returns errors until the next day or you upgrade.
No egress charge. Read replicas do not add a replica fee; they still count rows read/written.
