How large the no-code category is

We track 487 published no-code tools, 4.6% of the directory. The parent No-Code hub on the categories index is larger (1,107 products across subcategories) because it rolls in adjacent builders. This report is the No-Code category itself: app builders, site builders, form builders, and the widget and automation tools that sit next to them.

413 of the 487 tools, 85% of the set, were added to the directory in 2026. The label "no-code" is now a default claim on any builder with a canvas, which is why the file keeps growing and why you should read the leaderboards as "tools people file under no-code," not as a standards body.

How no-code tools are priced

Freemium is the category.

309 of 487 tools (63%) offer a free path. 178 (37%) are strictly paid. Across the whole catalog, 55% of tools offer some free access. No-code is 8 points above that line and 27 points above analytics.

The free path is the product. Site and app builders need a published thing they can point at, so they give you a live project and charge when you want the brand, the domain, or the seats. That is a different contract from analytics, where the free tier is a sample of events. If you are comparing a no-code builder to a BI tool on "is there a free plan," you are comparing two different businesses.

The catalog-wide median paid entry price is $20 a month (software pricing statistics). No-code often undercuts that on the first paid rung and makes it back on the published site or the extra editor.

How no-code tools are rated

354 of 487 tools carry a rating (73% of the category), on 159,041 reviews. Unweighted mean 4.45. Review-weighted mean 4.42.

Wix and Wix eCommerce are essentially one review pile split across two listings, about 12,700 reviews each at 4.30. That is the default website builder showing up as "no-code." Elfsight and GemPages win satisfaction on smaller, tighter user bases (widgets, Shopify landing pages). Jotform sits on both lists, the same overlap we saw in e-signature: forms are how a lot of no-code work actually ships.

Trustpilot is louder here than in most B2B categories (25,815 reviews on 46 profiles) because site builders have consumer customers who review on Trustpilot. G2 is still first. It is not as dominant as it is in analytics.

Free to start is not free to ship

A 63% free-tier rate does not mean 63% of real projects stay free. Published domains, remove-the-badge, extra editors, and commerce add-ons are where these vendors get paid. Use the free path to find out whether the canvas matches how you think, then price the published version. The best no-code software ranking is the cut by job (site, app, form, automation).

How this data was measured

Every first-party figure is computed from the Toolradar directory on September 17, 2026, covering the 487 published tools we categorize under No-Code. Pricing model is read from each vendor's official pricing page. Ratings and review counts are aggregated from third-party platforms (G2, Capterra, Trustpilot and others), not from Toolradar's own reviews. The leaderboard floor is 500 aggregated reviews. The analytics comparison uses the Analytics category snapshot from the same day. This is a directory snapshot, not a survey.
