CabinLink

CabinLink is a native Apple app that turns in-flight Wi-Fi data into a live flight dashboard, available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. It reads supported onboard flight manifests over cabin Wi-Fi and displays real-time route, position, altitude, airspeed, and heading without requiring a paid Wi-Fi pass or any account login. The app is free and ad-free, making it a low-friction addition for any passenger on a compatible airline. When the cabin connection drops, CabinLink holds the last-known readings on screen and uses dead-reckoning from speed and heading to continue estimating position. Destination weather is also shown, giving travelers a quick glance at conditions before landing. The app requires no setup beyond installing it and connecting to the aircraft Wi-Fi network. CabinLink targets frequent flyers, aviation enthusiasts, and passengers on short-haul routes where seatback entertainment systems are absent or slow. Because it relies on airlines exposing a supported manifest format over their onboard network, compatibility varies and cannot always be confirmed before boarding. The tool is built by indie developer Vishrut Jha and launched on Product Hunt with strong early reception.
