Pirros FAQ
Does Pirros provide details or just host a firm's own details?
Pirros is a platform that hosts a firm's proprietary details. It does not provide pre-made details, as every firm has unique standards and detailing conditions. The platform is designed to manage the thousands of new details a firm creates annually.
If a firm uploads its information to Pirros, do other firms have access to it?
No. All data uploaded to Pirros is considered proprietary information of the firm. The firm retains full ownership, and no one outside of that firm has access to its information. Data can be deleted from Pirros servers if a subscription is discontinued.
How is Pirros different from a Content Management System (CMS)?
Pirros is specifically built for detail management, unlike general CMS platforms that manage all Revit content. This specialization allows Pirros to cater to the nuances of details, providing an end-to-end solution that automates library building and prevents inefficiencies from manually searching past projects when details aren't found in a CMS.
Can Pirros host live section cuts (detail views)?
Yes, Pirros can upload detail views to its platform and convert them into drafting views upon download, providing flexibility for design teams.
Does Pirros provide training upon signing up?
Yes, Pirros provides company-wide training when a firm signs up. They also offer continuous customer support to answer any questions from Architectural Engineers (AEs) immediately.
Is Pirros still beneficial if a firm already has a good detail library?
Yes, detail management is an ongoing process. New details are constantly created, and existing ones are updated. Pirros helps maintain and evolve even elaborate in-house detail libraries, ensuring standardization and maximizing their value as the industry's leading detail management platform.
