Adyen MCP

Adyen is a payments platform that handles online, in app, and in person transactions for large merchants, covering acquiring, local payment methods, terminals, and payouts through a single integration. The Adyen MCP server is Adyen's own open source bridge between that API surface and AI assistants, so integration work and routine payment operations can be driven in natural language. The server maps requests onto two parts of the platform. Through the checkout side an agent can create payment sessions and shareable payment links, then issue refunds or cancellations against existing payments. Through the management side it reaches merchant account configuration, in person payment terminals, webhook subscriptions, the payment methods enabled on an account, API credentials, and users. Because a full payments API is large, the server lets you restrict which tools are active for a given session, which keeps an agent focused and keeps sensitive operations out of reach when a workflow does not need them. The honest framing is that this is a build and operate aid, not an autonomous finance agent. It shortens the loop when wiring up checkout, testing a flow end to end, or answering a support question about a specific order. Anything that moves money, a refund above all, deserves human confirmation, and credentials handed to an agent should point at a test environment until the flow is proven.
