IBM Cloud MCP

IBM Cloud MCP is a collection of Model Context Protocol servers covering IBM's cloud and enterprise software portfolio rather than a single endpoint. Servers are grouped by domain and an operator installs only the ones matching the products actually in use, which keeps an assistant's tool list manageable instead of loading hundreds of unrelated actions into every session. The infrastructure group covers Cloud VPC, Code Engine, Terraform, Power Virtual Server and IBM i, letting an agent provision and inspect compute, networking and serverless workloads. Data and analytics servers reach watsonx.data, Planning Analytics, master data management and OpenPages governance, so an assistant can explore catalogs and run natural language analysis over governed data. Security servers front QRadar SIEM, Guardium data protection and cryptography management, and Security Verify for identity and access work. Business automation covers workflow, content services, decision intelligence and process mining, and a developer group adds Carbon Design System, z/OS tooling and GraphQL schema access. Each server runs either as a remote HTTP endpoint or locally over stdio through Docker or a package runner, with credentials supplied as environment variables and one click install paths for supported editors. It is meant for platform engineers, security analysts and enterprise developers already inside the IBM stack who want an assistant working against real account state.
