Akamai MCP

Akamai MCP exposes Akamai Functions, the serverless runtime on Akamai's edge platform, to an AI client over the Model Context Protocol. It wraps the same operations the Akamai command line tool offers, so an assistant can inspect and ship edge workloads conversationally instead of an engineer shelling out to run each command by hand. The tool set is compact and operational. An agent can list every account tied to the login, list deployed applications with filters, search for an application by name across all accessible accounts, and fetch a single application's public endpoint. For diagnosis it reads health metrics and deployment records through a status tool, pulls execution logs, and walks deployment history to see what shipped and when. It also deploys applications and links or unlinks a local workspace to an existing deployed app, which is what makes it usable during development rather than only for read only inspection. The server additionally publishes the CLI command reference as a resource so an assistant can ground its suggestions in the real command surface. It targets developers and platform engineers running functions at the edge who want questions such as which applications are live in a given account, or what the last deployment changed about error rates, answered without opening a console. Access follows the credentials of the logged in Akamai user.
