Buffer MCP

Buffer's MCP server, shipped alongside its public API, lets an AI client operate a Buffer account instead of the dashboard. An agent can list the connected social channels, draft a post for one or several of them, schedule it into the publishing queue at a specific time or the next available slot, browse what is already queued, and save loose content ideas to come back to later. For a solo creator or a small social team this collapses a repetitive workflow. A conversation that produces a piece of copy can end with that copy queued to the right channels in the right format, and an assistant can review the coming week, find the gaps in the schedule, and fill them from the idea bank. Posting times and channel setup stay defined in Buffer, so the agent works inside the cadence the account owner already configured rather than inventing its own. Connection uses Buffer's managed OAuth flow, so the account holder authorizes a client explicitly and can revoke that access without rotating keys by hand. It works with any MCP capable client, which makes it useful both to people who draft in a chat assistant and want the result scheduled, and to developers building automations on top of the Buffer API that need a conversational front end.
