ClickUp MCP

ClickUp MCP is a Model Context Protocol server for ClickUp, the project management platform that organizes work into a hierarchy of workspaces, spaces, folders, lists, and tasks. It exposes that hierarchy to an agent so a task can be found, read, created, or moved from a chat client or a coding assistant instead of the ClickUp interface. For most teams the useful shift is that an assistant can go from a loose sentence about what needs doing to a properly placed task with an assignee, a due date, and the right status, without anyone opening a board. The task object is where most of the surface sits. An agent can search and filter tasks across a workspace, read a task with its description, status, assignees, priority, tags, and custom field values, then update any of those or add a comment. Subtasks and dependencies let it model work that is not flat. Around tasks, the server reaches the containers themselves so lists and folders can be listed or created, and it reaches adjacent objects such as documents, comments, time entries, and workspace members, which is what makes reporting-style questions answerable. It fits teams who already run delivery in ClickUp and want an assistant handling intake, triage, and status summaries. As with any write-enabled server, the token it runs with defines the blast radius, so scoping it to a single workspace is worth doing before pointing an autonomous agent at it.
