What is Kit MCP?

Editorial review
Kit MCP is a Model Context Protocol server for Kit, the email marketing platform for creators formerly known as ConvertKit. It connects an assistant directly to a Kit account so subscribers, tags, sequences, and broadcasts can be worked on in conversation rather than through the Kit dashboard. That matters for the way creators actually use the product, where much of the work is not writing the email but the list hygiene around it: figuring out who is on which list, tagging people correctly, and checking how a previous send performed. The server covers the account objects a creator touches daily. An agent can list, look up, create, and update subscribers, read and set the custom fields attached to them, and manage the tag system Kit uses in place of rigid lists, adding or removing tags on individual subscribers and pulling everyone who carries a given tag. Sequences are reachable so an agent can see which automated email series exist and enroll subscribers into one. Broadcasts, the one-off sends, can be drafted and managed, and forms are visible so signup sources can be traced back. It suits newsletter operators and solo creators who would rather point their own assistant at their own account than use a vendor assistant embedded in the editor. Because a broadcast reaches the whole list at once, keep a human review step between what an agent drafts and what actually sends.

Is Kit MCP worth the price?

75/100

Kit MCP's pricing is fair for the feature set, with a generous free tier and a $33/mo Creator plan unlocking the MCP integration.

The $66/mo Pro adds analytics but lacks MCP, making Creator the sweet spot. Best for independent creators and small teams.

No MCP in free or Pro tiers

Priority support only on higher tiers

How Kit MCP Compares to Competitors

Kit MCP is competitively priced against Mailchimp, offering similar email automation at comparable rates, but with a unique MCP integration. Compared to ConvertKit's own plans, it adds developer-friendly tools without a premium markup, though self-hosting alternatives may be cheaper for tech-savvy users.
