Mailgun MCP

Mailgun is a transactional email service that sends application mail over an API or SMTP, routes inbound messages, and reports on what happened to every message afterward. The Mailgun MCP server, published and maintained by Mailgun itself, wraps that API in Model Context Protocol tools so an assistant can send mail and, more usefully, investigate deliverability without anyone opening the control panel. The tool surface covers the main areas of the product: sending and resending messages and retrieving stored ones, inspecting domains and verifying their DNS records for authentication, listing and updating event webhooks and inbound routing rules, managing mailing lists and their members, creating and versioning templates, and reading suppression entries for bounces, unsubscribes, and spam complaints. Analytics tools return sending and usage metrics broken down by dimensions such as domain, tag, provider, device, and country, plus the raw event log sitting behind them. The deliverability angle is where it earns its place. Instead of exporting a report, you ask why a domain's bounce rate moved and the assistant queries the events, groups the failures, and checks whether authentication records are still valid. Delete operations are deliberately left out of the server, so an agent cannot remove domains, lists, or suppression data, which keeps the consequences of a bad tool call small.
