Oracle Cloud MCP

Oracle publishes MCP servers for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure so an agent can inspect and operate a tenancy through conversation. Coverage follows the OCI service map: compute instances, virtual cloud networks with their subnets and load balancers, block volumes and object storage buckets, identity compartments and policies, and Container Engine for Kubernetes clusters and node pools. A second strand targets the database rather than the infrastructure around it. Managed servers give an agent grounded access to schema metadata and SQL execution against an Oracle Database running in the cloud, which is what makes text to SQL reliable instead of speculative: the model reads real table and column definitions before it writes a query. Authentication uses standard OCI configuration and identity, so an agent acts as a specific principal and every call is still gated by IAM policy. The audience is cloud engineers, DBAs and platform teams on OCI. Representative uses include auditing what is actually running inside a compartment, tracing a network path when connectivity breaks, running an analytical query against a production schema with the schema in context, and scripting the repetitive parts of provisioning.
