Plaid MCP

Plaid MCP is the official Model Context Protocol server for Plaid, the financial data network that lets applications connect to end-user bank accounts. One distinction matters up front: this server exposes an organization's own integration telemetry from the Plaid dashboard, not consumer banking data. It is a tool for the team building on Plaid rather than a channel into anyone's balances or transactions. What it surfaces is the health of that integration. An agent can diagnose a specific Item, the persistent link between a user and their financial institution, from its metadata and error state, which is where most production support tickets begin. It can pull Link analytics covering the connection funnel, conversion at each step, and the errors that cause drop-off, so a conversion problem gets traced to the institution or step responsible. Product usage and API request volumes are available for capacity review, and teams are listed so multi-team organizations can scope a question correctly. Access uses an OAuth client credentials flow with a dashboard-specific scope and short-lived tokens, and it operates against production data for organizations already live with at least one Plaid product.
