Resend MCP

Resend is an email API aimed at developers, handling transactional and marketing sends with verified domains, deliverability tooling, and templating. Its MCP server is one of the more literal applications of the protocol: it lets an assistant actually send the email it just drafted, rather than printing a message for a human to copy somewhere else. The core action is a send, carrying plain text or HTML content, a subject, cc and bcc recipients, and a reply to address, plus scheduling so a message goes out later instead of immediately. The from address is typically pinned at startup to a domain you have already verified, which bounds what the agent can send as and keeps a stray instruction from spoofing an arbitrary sender. Servers that wrap more of the API surface also expose domain management, audiences and contacts, and broadcasts to a list, which turns the connection into a general email operations tool rather than a one way outbox. The natural uses are agents that report: a nightly summary, an alert when a job fails, a reply drafted from context the model already holds. The natural caution is the one that applies to any write tool with an outside audience. Scope the API key narrowly, keep the verified sending domain separate from your primary domain until the workflow is proven, and require confirmation before a send reaches anyone outside the team.
