Best AI Bookkeeping Tools in 2026

TL;DR

Short answer: Digits Essentials at $65 a month is the AI bookkeeping pick for a US company that wants categorization and reconciliation running before anyone opens the books. QuickBooks Online is the pick when the accountant already works in it, and Simple Start is $38 a month. Puzzle Starter at $30 a month fits a startup, with only 25 AI credits for the life of that plan. Xero Early at $25 a month includes JAX chat at no extra charge, and Pilot Essentials at $99 a month is the firm that closes a cash-basis month without a dedicated bookkeeper.

Buy the ledger that drafts the month, because a chatbot parked on last year's software still leaves you clicking Post.

265 Accounting tools tracked

Most products that say AI bookkeeping still leave a person clicking through the bank feed. The purchase that changes the close is the one that categorizes and reconciles before you log in, and that product is often a different company from the ledger your accountant already knows.

Digits is the default when a US business will review a ledger the model keeps current. Skip it if the accountant will only sign a QuickBooks file, because a cleaner ledger they will not open is a second subscription you still pay. QuickBooks Online is the default when the accountant, the payroll file, and the app stack already assume that login. A startup on Stripe, Mercury, Ramp, or Brex should price Puzzle before either of those, because a credit cap and startup metrics are a different job from a general small-business ledger.

Toolradar data: of the 265 accounting tools we track, 26% offer a free or freemium plan, and 188 (71%) are paid-only. A free row in that catalog is not an AI close. Several tools on this page put the model on every paid tier, and the free download is a ledger you still categorize yourself.

A ranking of bookkeeping software without this AI cut is best bookkeeping software. The wider shelf is accounting.

How we chose: these ten were set against the 265 tools in that accounting category, every price below was checked on the vendor site in September 2026, and the ranking has no paid placement. This is general information about software, not a filing position for your return.

+Every business plan includes 24/7 AI bookkeeping, reconciliation, Ask Digits, bill pay, invoicing, and connections to 12,000+ banks, cards, and payroll providers, so the file moves before you log in.
+Core adds dimensional accounting and automated schedules at $100 a month, and Essentials leaves those off, so a department view is a higher plan.
+A 30-day trial has no setup fee, and Digits says it is SOC 2 Type II with revocable tokens rather than stored bank passwords, the control that matters once the feed drives the close.
−Service is limited to US-based entities, and a second business needs a second subscription, so a two-entity company pays twice.
−Pro is listed at $250 a month and marked coming soon, so that column is a promise, and custom dashboards on the lower plans are for firm partners, not a standalone company.
Good value

Digits' pricing is competitive, especially for its AI-native features.

Puzzle logo

Puzzle

  • 5.0 on G2 (5 reviews)

Startups that want cash and accrual together and will watch the credit meter.

+Starter includes up to 98% auto-categorization and one seat, and it is free for 2 months, long enough to watch a credit disappear for good.
+Complete, at $120 a month or $96 billed annually, is where reconciliations, revenue recognition, and 100 credits a month begin, so weekly agent use belongs there.
+Cash and accrual sit together, and a 50% faster-close guarantee needs onboarding within 7 days plus live API feeds, which a CSV-only bank cannot claim.
−Starter and Core include 25 AI credits for the life of the plan, one per agent action, and Core is $72 a month, or $58 billed annually, for 5 seats that buy no extra credits.
−Expert Reviewed bookkeeping is $171 a month, only up to $10,000 of monthly expenses, with no payroll, no inventory, and one entity. Catch-up starts at $300 per month behind.
Good value

Puzzle's pricing is fair, offering a generous free Starter tier.

3
QuickBooks Online logo

QuickBooks Online

  • 4.4 on G2 (405 reviews)

Companies whose accountant, payroll, and apps already assume QuickBooks.

+QuickBooks suggests matches, including partial and combined ones, and categories from the description plus your history. Pre-filled categories help only when that history is the coding you want repeated.
+Suggested categorization can be turned off, so a reviewer can keep a manual trail in the file. Transaction info requests sit on every Online plan except QuickBooks Solopreneur.
+Plus is $140 a month and Advanced is $340, each with 50% off for three months, and Advanced holds the higher reporting. Treat the discount as a short look at renewal.
−You still post. A suggestion is not a closed month, so a team that wanted the software to finish the books bought the familiar login instead.
−Essentials is listed at $85 a month beside a note dated October 24, 2024, so checkout is the live rate after the August 1, 2026 renewal change.

Watch out

50% introductory discount expires after 3 months, doubling your bill overnight

4
Xero logo

Xero

  • 4.4 on Capterra (3,325 reviews)
  • 4.4 on G2 (1,833 reviews)

Teams that want JAX on a ledger with no per-user fee.

+JAX has no extra charge, and Xero says customer data is not used to train the models. It names AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, and OpenAI as processors a security review can file.
+There is no per-user fee: Growing at $55 a month after the intro adds auto-reconcile, and Established at $90 a month adds multi-currency, so headcount is not what moves you up.
+New US customers see 90% off for 6 months, and a product specialist is free for 90 days, which is the window for testing invoice caps before the intro ends.
−Early allows 20 invoices and 5 bills and reconciles without the auto-reconcile on Growing and Established, while JAX waits until someone opens it.
−On October 1, 2026, Early and Established move to $27 and $97 a month, and the middle tier rises the same day. The introductory offer ends the day before, and payroll is a separate add-on.

Watch out

Potential add-on costs for specific integrations

5
Pilot logo

Pilot

  • 4.7 on G2 (142 reviews)

US companies that want a firm to close cash-basis books monthly.

+The entry tier covers up to $100,000 in monthly expenses: AI categorization, reconciliation, a monthly close, a standard chart of accounts, and a year-end package, and above that expense line the sticker no longer applies.
+Instant answers cover past transactions and cash flow, with support by in-app message, on cash-basis books from bank and card data. Accrual or a named person is the next tier.
+Tax filing starts at $1,000 a year for a single-member LLC, $2,000 for partnerships and S corps, and $2,450 for C corps, and it has to be bought with bookkeeping.
−No dedicated bookkeeper sits on the entry tier, while Core adds that person, accrual, and a 10th-business-day report, at a price that scales with expenses.
−Custom keeps an existing QuickBooks file, full accounts payable, or a report on the 6th business day. CFO support is a separate menu from $1,750 a month.
Fair value

Pilot's pricing is on the higher side, especially for early-stage startups.

6
Zoho Books logo

Zoho Books

  • 4.4 on Capterra (680 reviews)
  • 4.4 on G2 (329 reviews)

Businesses under the free revenue cap that will review Zia's suggestions.

+The free plan holds while financial-year revenue stays at or under $50,000, with 1 user plus 1 accountant, 1,000 invoices a year, and 50 scans a month, and past that revenue cap the organization stops being free.
+As of July 31, 2026, Zia is built into Books: Ask Zia, CoCreate, anomaly detection, and reconciliation suggestions a person still accepts.
+Standard is 3 users at $20 a month, or $15 billed annually, with 200 scans a month. A 14-day trial needs no install, enough to see if the scan cap binds.
−Scans past the cap are $10 a month, or $8 billed annually, per 50 scans. Premium and above include 1,000 scans a month, so price that cap before the add-on.
−Extra users are $3 a month, or $2.50 billed annually. Free support is email, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 9 pm ET, not a bookkeeper.
Great value

Zoho Books is the best value in cloud accounting.

Watch out

Additional users cost $2.50/user/month on top of plan price

Ecommerce and retail brands that need store, payout, and bank reconciliation.

Finaloop screenshot
+Starter is $245 a month for brands at or under $1 million in annual gross revenue and in business 4 years or less, so a brand past either line should not budget this sticker.
+Categorization includes a 3-way match from order to payout to bank, plus a real-time P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. That is the buy when payouts are the mess.
+A 14-day trial includes the onboarding month and the two months before it, with no setup fee and no cancellation fee, so you can test a real payout match.
−Above that revenue or age line, the price is a quote after a 30-minute call. Full-Service and Platform differ by who does the close, so the demo may be the quoted product.
−Subscription fees are non-refundable. Earlier catch-up months bill at the monthly rate, and unusual work such as an acquisition is usually 2 to 4 times that fee.
Fair value

Everything else is a quote after a 30-minute call.

Watch out

Inventory, tax, fractional CFO, and warehouse SKUs are add-on conversations, not inside the $245 line.

8
FreshBooks logo

FreshBooks

  • 4.5 on Capterra (4,526 reviews)
  • 4.5 on G2 (981 reviews)

Freelancers who bill clients and want receipt capture on Plus or higher.

+Lite is $23 a month for 5 billable clients. Plus is $43 for 50 clients, where receipt scanning and advanced reports start, so five clients or fewer means no capture.
+Premium is $70 a month for unlimited clients and 2 team accounts. A 30-day trial needs no card, and the first 30 days after purchase can be refunded.
+Yearly billing is a 10% discount off the monthly price. Take it after the trial shows that billing and receipts, not a self-keeping ledger, are the work.
−The Claude connector is read-only, on a waitlist, and it cannot change account data, so it will not post a line.
−Client limits count archived clients, so archiving does not free a seat. Team members are $11 a month, payroll is $40 a month plus $6 per user, and Advanced Payments costs extra except on Select.
Good value

FreshBooks' pricing is fair for small businesses, though it can become expensive as client numbers grow.

Watch out

Potential for add-on service costs

9
Botkeeper logo

Botkeeper

  • 4.4 on Capterra (71 reviews)
  • 4.4 on G2 (36 reviews)

Accounting firms that want automation on each client entity.

+The license includes AI categorization, bank reconciliation, journal entries, and a month-end review with anomaly detection. That is a close the firm resells, not a login the client opens.
+Higher licenses are $79, $109, and $149 a month, and the top one is the software-only Infinite set, which the floor license does not include.
+You can cancel a monthly plan at any time, and there is no free trial, so the first client is a paid test of the review.
−A second column lists $53, $71, $98, and $134, and the lower figure assumes about 85% automation. Budget the higher column until a contract names the lower one.
−One license is one client, so 40 clients means 40 licenses. Dedicated bookkeepers are a separate services contract, not this sticker.
10
Bench logo

Bench

  • 4.5 on Capterra (312 reviews)
  • 4.3 on SourceForge (67 reviews)
  • 4.6 on G2 (5 reviews)

US businesses that want a bookkeeper on a published monthly price.

+Bookkeeping Light is $199 a month at or under $250,000 in annual revenue, with monthly books and a year-end package, and crossing that revenue line means Light is no longer offered.
+The main Bookkeeping plan is $399 a month with unlimited bookkeeper access by phone, message, and video. Annual Light is $1,910, cheaper only if you stay the year.
+Catch-up is free on an annual plan, which is why that term needs a second read. A QuickBooks specialist is $55 an hour plus a $1,200 onboarding fee.
−This is not an AI ledger and it has no software-only tier, so a feature comparison with Digits misses the labor on the invoice.
−Bookkeeping plus tax is $649 a month, or $6,230 a year. There is no free trial, and Light disappears once revenue passes the cap.
Fair value

It's best for small businesses who prioritize convenience and a dedicated expert over cost savings, and those who need integrated tax services.

What an AI bookkeeping tool is

An AI bookkeeping tool categorizes, matches, or drafts ledger entries from bank feeds and receipts, while a person still approves what posts. If it only answers questions about last month, you are still the bookkeeper.

Self-keeping ledgers code on a schedule, for a company that will review a file instead of clicking every bank line. Digits keeps categorization and reconciliation running on every business plan, with Ask Digits for questions, so the work left is the review. Puzzle drafts categorization and statements, then meters AI actions with credits, and a heavy month can force a higher tier. Finaloop reconciles stores, payouts, and banks, and Starter is only for younger brands under a revenue cap.

Ledger plus a suggestion suits a company whose accountant will not switch files. QuickBooks suggests matches and categories and still expects you to post, so the month closes only after someone clicks. Xero includes JAX, a chat you open on purpose, and auto-reconcile starts on Growing, so the cheap plan still leaves the matching to you. Zoho Books recommends categories you still review, which fits while revenue stays inside the free cap. FreshBooks captures receipts on higher plans, and its Claude link is waitlisted, read-only, and will not post.

A firm that uses a model bills for a finished month, not for a login. Pilot Essentials closes a cash-basis month and names no bookkeeper on that tier, so expecting a person means the wrong contract. Botkeeper sells the automation to firms and meters it by client, the wrong unit if you are the client. Bench is a bookkeeping team on a published monthly price, for buyers who want a person rather than a model.

If the job is a general ledger comparison rather than this AI cut, start with accounting software.

Why the model and the close are different purchases

A chat that answers a question about last month does not close the books. JAX is included for Xero subscribers and does nothing until you open it and ask, which suits someone who wants an explanation, not someone who wants the bank feed cleared. Early does not auto-reconcile, so the cheapest Xero plan still leaves the matching work on your desk.

Digits takes the other side: the model enters transactions from connected banks, cards, and payroll, and reconciliation runs continuously, which suits a US company that will review a file already in motion. Digits does not file the return, so the books can be current and still not be a filed Form 1120.

Puzzle splits the same idea with credits: Starter and Core include 25 AI credits for the life of the plan, and Complete moves to a monthly allowance. A founder who asks the model to reconcile every week can exhaust a lifetime allowance in a month, then find the useful automation was on a higher tier. Skip the cheap plans if that weekly habit is the reason you are buying.

Pilot splits the purchase by labor: Essentials is the AI close, cash basis, from bank and card data, with support by in-app message, for a company that does not need a named person yet. Core adds a US-based bookkeeper, accrual as well as cash, and reports on the 10th business day. Buying the entry tier and then expecting a named person is the miss, because that person is the next tier. The published floor there is a zero-dollar annual price at zero monthly expenses, so an operating company needs the quote, not the floor.

The money shows up twice: the subscription, then what it leaves out. Xero Payroll, FreshBooks Payroll, Puzzle tax prep, and Bench tax filing each sit on another bill. A low software row can still be the expensive year once payroll, a catch-up, or a human review lands on the same invoice.

Key Features to Look For

  • Who posts the entry (Essential)

Digits and Puzzle draft the books and leave a review, which suits a team that will look. QuickBooks pre-fills a category and waits for Post, which suits an accountant who will not switch. If nobody on your side will review, Bench's bookkeeper is the buy, not another login.

  • The allowance on the AI (Essential)

Puzzle meters agent actions at 25 credits for the life of Starter and Core, 100 a month on Complete, and 300 a month on Scale. A weekly close on that lifetime cap runs out and stays out. Digits, JAX, and QuickBooks suggestions publish no credit wallet.

  • Country and entity (Essential)

Digits limits service to US-based entities, and each business needs its own subscription, so a foreign company or a second entity changes the bill first. Pilot's tax menu covers US entities, and Finaloop is for ecommerce and retail brands tying store payouts to the bank.

  • What the feed can see (Essential)

Digits cites 12,000+ banks, cards, and payroll providers. Puzzle's faster-close guarantee needs live API connections and disqualifies CSV or PDF uploads, so a file-only bank voids it. Xero Early reconciles, auto-reconcile starts on Growing, and a bank the vendor cannot see becomes a file you import.

  • Receipts versus the ledger (Important)

Zoho Books includes a monthly autoscan cap, then sells more scans, so a shoebox of receipts can cost more than the plan. FreshBooks puts automatic expense receipt capture on Plus and above, not on Lite. A receipt tool that never becomes a journal entry is a folder, and the close is still manual.

  • A person on a clock (Important)

Pilot Core promises reports on the 10th business day and Custom on the 6th, which matters when a board date is fixed. Bench includes unlimited bookkeeper access on the main plan, and Finaloop Full-Service adds a monthly review with an account manager.

  • Firm economics (Important)

Botkeeper prices a license per client and skips the free trial, so the first month is paid. Digits lists separate firm plans, and a practice should not budget the business card. Client count is the meter that turns a small sticker into a large bill.

  • A way to refuse the model (Nice to have)

QuickBooks can turn suggested categorization off in Bank transactions settings, the switch to test before a reviewer asks. Xero's JAX runs only when someone opens it, and roles limit what that person sees. Confirm the switch before the first close if you must show a manual trail.

What to decide before you connect a bank

  1. If the accountant will only work in QuickBooks, start there, or you pay for a cleaner ledger they will not sign, and the side-by-side is QuickBooks vs Xero.

  2. If you are outside the United States, drop Digits. Service is limited to US-based entities, so the login is one you cannot use.

  3. If an agent will close the books every week, skip Puzzle Starter and Core. Those plans include 25 credits for the life of the account, and the refill is a higher tier.

  4. If revenue is under the Zoho free cap and you will review Zia yourself, start on the free organization. A self-keeping ledger can wait until that cap is the problem.

  5. If the brand sells on several stores and payouts are the pain, price Finaloop before a general ledger. The published Starter price fits smaller, younger brands, and everyone else is a quote.

Evaluation Checklist

  • On Digits, confirm the entity is US-based and count subscriptions, because each business is a separate plan.

  • On Puzzle, open Complete in the trial and run one agent action so you see a credit drop before you accept 25 lifetime credits.

  • On QuickBooks, post one suggested category, then turn suggested categorization off, so the manual-trail switch is real before a reviewer asks.

  • On Xero, count a normal month of invoices and bills against Early's caps before you take the promo price.

  • On Pilot, decide between cash-basis Essentials and a named bookkeeper on Core, and get the Core number at your expense level.

  • On Zoho Books, use receipt autoscans until you hit the monthly cap, because the next pack is an add-on.

  • On Finaloop, check annual gross revenue and years in business against the Starter rules before you treat the published price as your quote.

  • On Botkeeper, multiply one license by the clients you will onboard, using the higher monthly figure, before you trust the lower column.

Checked against vendor sites on September 23, 2026. Xero list prices rise on October 1, 2026, to $27, $59, and $97 a month, before tax, excluding add-ons. The 90% introductory offer uses a published code and ends September 30, 2026. Xero Payroll, powered by Gusto, is $36 a month plus $6 per employee or contractor.

QuickBooks list prices still carry an October 24, 2024 note, so the checkout invoice wins if the two disagree. Essentials, Plus, and Advanced renewals on or after August 1, 2026 change, Simple Start does not, and a recent subscriber keeps the starting rate until the seventh invoice. Bill Pay Elite is $45 a month as an add-on on Simple Start, Essentials, and Plus.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • ×

Buying a chat and calling it a close. JAX and Ask Digits answer questions, but a closed month still needs the reconciliation the vendor names, or a service tier with a person, and a board date belongs on the row that names that date.

  • ×

Exhausting Puzzle credits on the cheap plan. Twenty-five lifetime credits on Starter and Core are a different product from the monthly refill on Complete, which is where a weekly agent habit belongs.

  • ×

Migrating off QuickBooks because a demo looked smarter. If the accountant will not take the new file, you pay for two systems. Read Xero alternatives only after that person agrees.

  • ×

Treating a firm license as a business subscription. Botkeeper's meter is clients, and the Digits business card is not the firm card. Budget the unit the contract counts, or a practice signs a one-company price.

  • ×

Signing an annual plan for a free catch-up, then needing to leave. Bench's lower annual price carries the catch-up waiver. Read the notice period before that waiver is why you sign.

Expert Tips

  • →

Count entities before you like the demo. Digits bills each business separately and Botkeeper bills each client, so three operating entities are three subscriptions on day one.

  • →

Test Xero Early against a real invoice month. Twenty invoices and five bills is the cap, and the promo ends. If you are already over that stack, price Growing now.

  • →

Ask Pilot for the Core number at your expense band. The published Core floor is a zero-expense illustration, while Essentials has a ceiling of monthly expenses. The quote at your real expenses is the budget figure.

  • →

Use Zoho's scan cap as the trial. Fifty scans on the free and trial allowance show whether autoscan is enough, and the add-on pack is the cost when receipts are the close.

  • →

Split Finaloop Starter from the quote. The published monthly price applies only under the revenue and age rules, and past either rule the call is the price.

  • →

Put the QuickBooks suggestion switch in the reviewer notes. Turning suggested categorization off is a setting. A reviewer who needs a manual trail can stay in the file, which is a reason not to migrate.

Red Flags to Watch For

  • !

A Puzzle quote that ignores the credit line is selling the cheap tier as if it included Complete's monthly allowance. Starter and Core stop at 25 lifetime credits, and a weekly close burns that allowance before the first renewal.

  • !

A Xero promo copied after September 30, 2026 is the old offer. The 90% off for six months applies to new customers through that date, and list prices rise on October 1, 2026.

  • !

A QuickBooks price taken from a 2024 note without opening the invoice is stale. The printed prices still carry an October 24, 2024 line, while Essentials, Plus, and Advanced change on renewals from August 1, 2026.

  • !

A Digits proposal that puts custom dashboards on Essentials is selling a column the lower plans do not include. Those dashboards are marked for firm partners on the lower plans, and Pro is labeled coming soon.

  • !

A Pilot Essentials contract described as a dedicated bookkeeper is the wrong tier. The dedicated US bookkeeper is on Core, and Core's published floor is not a price for a company with real expenses.

  • !

A Bench sale described as AI bookkeeping is a people plan. The offer is a bookkeeper, a tax bundle, and an hourly QuickBooks specialist, and there is no software-only model tier.

The Bottom Line

Choose Digits when a US company wants the ledger categorized and reconciled continuously and will still have a human review before anyone outside the company relies on it. Choose Puzzle when the company is a startup and someone will manage AI credits, with Complete as the tier that refills them. Choose QuickBooks when the accountant already lives there, and budget a review of every suggested post, because the suggestion is not the close.

Choose Xero when you want JAX included and no per-user fee, and leave Early if you will send more than a short stack of invoices and bills. Choose Pilot Essentials when a firm should close a cash-basis month and you do not need a named bookkeeper yet. The named person is the next tier, and that tier is priced from your expenses.

Choose Zoho Books when revenue still fits the free cap and you will review Zia yourself. Choose Finaloop when the mess is ecommerce payouts and you fit Starter, or you are ready for a quote. Choose FreshBooks when the job is client billing and receipts, not a self-keeping general ledger. Choose Botkeeper when the buyer is a firm. Choose Bench when you want a person, on a published monthly price, and you are not shopping for a model.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best AI bookkeeping tool in 2026?

Digits, if a US business wants categorization and reconciliation running continuously and will review the file. Essentials is the entry plan, Core adds department and location tracking, and Pro is listed but marked coming soon, so today's checkout is not that promised column.

Choose QuickBooks Online if the accountant already closes there, because a second ledger is a second bill. Choose Puzzle for a startup that can live with a credit meter that does not refill on the cheap plans. Choose Pilot Essentials if a firm should close a cash-basis month without a dedicated bookkeeper. This is general information, not a filing recommendation.

How much does AI bookkeeping cost in 2026?

September 2026 list prices from the vendors: Digits is $65, $100, or $250 a month, and the top price is marked coming soon. Puzzle Starter is $30 a month or $24 billed annually, Core is $72 or $58, Complete is $120 or $96, and Scale is $360 or $288. QuickBooks Online lists $38, $85, $140, and $340 a month before the three-month discount.

Xero US lists Early at $25, Growing at $55, and Established at $90, with an increase on October 1, 2026. Pilot Essentials is $99 a month up to $100,000 of monthly expenses. Zoho Books Standard is $20 a month or $15 billed annually. Finaloop Starter is $245 a month inside its revenue and age rules. FreshBooks Lite is $23, Plus is $43, and Premium is $70. Botkeeper licenses run from $59 to $149 a month. Bench Light is $199 a month under its revenue cap. The cheap row is the wrong buy when the missing piece is a credit refill, a bookkeeper, or payroll.

Is there a free AI bookkeeping tool?

Zoho Books stays free while financial-year revenue is at or under $50,000, with scan and invoice caps, and Zia still leaves the review to you. That is not a model keeping the close current. Wave Starter shows no subscription price. Pro is $19 a month or $190 a year, which is where auto-import and auto-categorize appear.

Digits offers a 30-day trial, not a free plan. Puzzle Starter is free for two months, then paid. FreshBooks has a 30-day trial with no card. Botkeeper has no free trial, and Bench does not publish one. A wider free-ledger list is free accounting software.

How does Digits compare with QuickBooks for bookkeeping?

Digits categorizes and reconciles continuously, and the model enters transactions from connected accounts, which suits a US company willing to change files. QuickBooks suggests a category or a match and leaves Post to you, which suits an accountant who will not move. Digits is US-only and bills per entity, while QuickBooks is the file many US accountants already accept.

Digits Essentials is one monthly price, with a 30-day trial and no setup fee. QuickBooks publishes four Online list prices, and three change on renewal after August 1, 2026. If the accountant will not leave, the suggestion layer you have beats a second ledger. See QuickBooks alternatives before you migrate.

Will the AI close the books without a person?

No tool here says the model replaces a review. Digits calls an accountant optional and says verified financials for investors, lenders, and tax authorities may still need a professional, so a fundraise is a late time to find that out. Puzzle's guarantee still requires you to categorize, reconcile, and use its accuracy reviews. Zoho says the accountant still reviews every Zia bank recommendation, and QuickBooks waits for Post.

Pilot Essentials and Bench are where a firm finishes the month, priced as services. Finaloop Full-Service is that split for ecommerce, and a draft is not a signed statement.

Which AI bookkeeping tool is for accounting firms?

Botkeeper, if the firm wants the automation and will pay per client. There is no free trial, and the license count is the client count, so multiply before the demo, because dedicated staff are a separate contract.

Digits also sells to firms, on plans that are not the business card. Starter for Firms is $35 a month, chosen per client. Price the client count, not a single-company demo.

What is the best AI bookkeeping tool for ecommerce?

Finaloop, when the work is multichannel orders, payouts, and inventory rather than a generic bank feed. Starter is published only for brands at or under $1 million in annual gross revenue that are 4 years old or younger. Everyone else gets a quote, and the trial covers the onboarding month plus the two prior months.

Puzzle fits a software startup better than a store with SKUs. QuickBooks and Xero can take ecommerce apps, and the payout tie-out is usually still manual. Finaloop treats that tie-out as a native 3-way match.
