Brex MCP

Brex is a corporate card and spend management platform: cards issued per employee or vendor, budgets and spend limits governing them, receipt capture and expense review, plus business cash accounts. Its MCP server opens that account to an agent through the Brex developer API. The exposed surface is centered on spend. An agent can list expenses in general and card expenses specifically, page through long date ranges, and pull the detail of a single expense including its review state. Budgets, individual budget records, budget programs and spend limits are all readable, as are card and cash account transactions, and users can be looked up so spend gets attributed to the right person or team. It reads far more than it writes, which fits reporting and review better than provisioning. The recurring value is the month end question set that never changes. Total spend by budget, list the expenses still missing a receipt or a memo, flag transactions that ran close to a limit, check which cards belong to someone leaving. Turning it on requires accepting the developer API agreement on the Brex side and generating a token, and given how sensitive the data is, that token belongs behind narrow scopes and an MCP client you control.
