What your agent can do

Eight things your agent stops guessing

Each one is a real request, the answer your agent gets back, and what it saves you.

Find the right tool

You ask

“Recommend a CRM for a 6-person agency under $40 a seat that syncs with Gmail.”

Your agent gets a ranked shortlist: why each pick fits the need, its starting price with the date we read it, and the trade-offs.

Saves you an afternoon of review sites and pricing tabs.

Compare two tools

You ask

“Notion or Coda for a 10-person team?”

Your agent gets both side by side on starting price, free plan and trial, from the plans we read on each vendor's page.

Saves you opening two pricing pages and matching plan names by hand.

Real prices and plans

You ask

“What does Figma cost, and what changed lately?”

Your agent gets every plan with its price, unit and billing term, the vendor page it was read on, the date, and the changes we caught.

Saves you quoting an old price. On their own, current models named the right price 20% of the time.

Alternatives to X

You ask

“What can replace Zapier?”

Your agent gets direct competitors that do the same job, each with its price and a one-line pitch.

Saves you sifting lists padded with whatever shares a category tag.

What a team really pays

You ask

“What does a CRM cost a team of 20?”

Your agent gets 17 cost benchmarks covering 112 tools: the price for a team of 5, 20 and 50, one method for all, confirmed on vendor pages.

Saves you building the spreadsheet yourself.

See the benchmarks

Plain URLs, no install

You ask

“toolradar.com/tools/notion/pricing.md”

Your agent gets the same data as markdown or JSON for any agent that can fetch a page: prices, search, comparisons, what's new.

Saves you installing anything at all.

All the URLs

Owners fix their own listing

For vendors

You ask

“Update our Toolradar listing with the new Pro plan.”

Your agent gets a read of your pricing page, the differences with your listing, and the change applied once you agree. Every edit is logged and can be undone.

Saves you waiting for a directory to notice your new price.

For vendors

Vendors post launches and deals

For vendors

You ask

“Post our 2.0 launch on Toolradar.”

Your agent gets a short, dated post linked to your changelog, on your page and in the feed of what's new, after we read the page.

Saves you writing the same announcement for every directory.

How posting works

Why it holds

Models forget. Vendor pages don’t.

20%

On their own, GPT-5.5, Claude Sonnet 5 and Gemini 3.7 Flash named the right price for 20% of 70 SaaS tools. When they named a number, 42% were wrong. Our test, September 1, 2026.

6,100+

Prices re-read on the vendor’s own page in the last 30 days, out of 8,900+ dated prices. Every answer carries the page and the date, and a price we could not confirm recently says so. Counted Nov 6, 2026.

90%

Of 205 real buyer questions, the share where recommend_tools puts the market leader in its top 3. We run the check every night; the last full run was on Nov 1, 2026.

An agent that can read a URL is enough

https://toolradar.com/tools/{slug}/pricing.md

A tool's prices with the source page and the date we confirmed them. Also /pricing.json.

https://toolradar.com/search.json?q=crm&max_price_per_seat=20&has_free_plan=true

Filter across tools. The answer says how many were left out for lack of a price.

https://toolradar.com/compare.json?slugs=asana,monday

Two to four tools in one shape.

https://toolradar.com/best/crm.md

Add .md to any list, guide, article or comparison.

https://toolradar.com/benchmarks/crm-software-cost/data.json

A cost benchmark: what a team of 5, 20 and 50 pays for each tool of a category, prices confirmed on vendor pages. Also data.csv.

https://toolradar.com/updates.json?kind=launch

What is new in software: launches, features and deals posted by the makers, and price changes we caught. Also /updates/feed.xml (RSS).

https://toolradar.com/openapi.json

The REST API described for machines.

Cost benchmarks by team size: CRM software cost, project management software cost, help desk software cost, business password manager cost, team chat app cost, E-signature software cost, scheduling software cost, time tracking software cost, team AI assistant cost, AI meeting notetaker cost, social media management cost, business phone system cost, online whiteboard software cost, screen recording software cost, accounting software cost, code hosting cost, AI coding assistant cost (all benchmarks).

For tool vendors

Get recommended by agents, with your real prices

Agents that ask Toolradar about your category get your verified plans and prices. Listing is free, your assistant keeps it right, and nothing paid changes how tools are ranked in agent answers.

1

Add Toolradar

Claude: Customize, Connectors, Add custom connector. ChatGPT: chatgpt.com/plugins, Add custom MCP server, OAuth. Paste the URL below.

2

Ask for the update

Say "update my Toolradar listing", or "add my product to Toolradar" if it is not listed yet (we review it first).

3

Sign in when asked

Your assistant shows a Connect button: sign in to Toolradar, pick your company, allow. Every edit is logged and can be undone.

https://toolradar.com/mcp

Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http toolradar https://toolradar.com/mcp, then /mcp to sign in. Your company must be claimed and verified first. A client that cannot sign in? A company key does the same job.

On Claude Team or Enterprise, your admins can sign everyone in automatically: set up managed sign-in. Not listed yet? List your tool for free.

For tool vendors · Early access

Post your launches from your agent

You just shipped? Tell Claude or ChatGPT “post our release on Toolradar”. It writes a short post from your changelog, shows it to you, and posts it when you agree. It shows on your Toolradar page, in the public feed of what’s new in software, and in what AI assistants get when they ask Toolradar about your product.

  • Launch: A new product or a major version
  • Update: A feature you shipped
  • Deal: A time-limited offer on your own site

Facts only, with a link to the page on your own site that shows the change: we read it before anything goes live, and a person reads every post during early access. One post per product a week. Posts are free and never change a ranking.

Open to a first group of verified companies. Want in? Write to [email protected].

Frequently asked questions

What does my agent get from Toolradar?

Structured data on 12,000+ software tools: plans and prices read on each vendor's own page with the source and the date, direct alternatives, side-by-side comparisons, cost benchmarks by team size and the latest launches posted by the makers. It comes through an MCP server (11 public tools), a REST API, and plain JSON or markdown URLs.

Which assistants work with it?

Any client that adds a remote MCP server by URL: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, Cline, Grok and more. Claude Desktop can also run it locally with npx toolradar-mcp. It is listed on the official MCP registry.

Do I need a key?

No. Without a key you get 500 calls a day per IP, on the hosted URL and through npx alike. A free key raises it to 10,000 a day per person: create one in your dashboard, or let an agent provision one with no signup by POSTing to /api/v1/keys. No card, ever.

How fresh are the prices?

Every price carries the page it was read on and the date. As of Nov 6, 2026, 8,900+ tools have dated prices and 6,100+ of them were re-read on the vendor's own page in the last 30 days. A price we could not confirm recently says so, and verify_price reads the page on demand.

How much does an LLM get wrong on its own?

We re-ran the test on September 1, 2026 with GPT-5.5, Claude Sonnet 5 and Gemini 3.7 Flash on the cheapest paid plan of 70 well-known SaaS tools, using prices we had checked the same week. They named the correct price 20% of the time. When they did name a number, 42% of those numbers were wrong. See /reports/ai-pricing-knowledge-gap-2026.

Can I use it without MCP?

Yes. Every answer is also a URL: /tools/{slug}/pricing.json or .md, /search.json, /compare.json, /updates.json, and /openapi.json for the REST API at toolradar.com/api/v1.

How does my tool get recommended by AI agents?

List it for free at toolradar.com/vendors and keep its plans and prices right, from your dashboard or from Claude and ChatGPT. Agents that ask Toolradar about your category then get your verified data. Nothing paid changes how tools are ranked in agent answers.

Can my agent post our launches?

Yes, in early access for a first group of verified companies. Your assistant posts a launch, a shipped feature or a deal with a link to the page on your site; we read the page, a person reads the post, and it shows on your page, in the public feed and in agent answers. Write to [email protected] to join.

Stop letting agents guess. Give them Toolradar.
